Big time for Setapp. Europe-big.
On Feb 20, Fast Company released its annual ranking of the world’s Most Innovative Companies. Since 2008, the best enterprises across various industries have been recognized with this prestigious award. From disruptive startups to big names.
This year, Setapp has the honor to join the crowd. We were named one of the top 10 most innovative companies in Europe for 2019.
It’s an immense pleasure that our vision for a curated collection of macOS apps has been shared by the Fast Company’s editorial team. We hope to refine and expand it even more, enabling Mac users to capitalize on valuable software.
About the award
The Fast Company Most Innovative Companies (MIC) award is an annual contest that features cutting-edge ideas advanced by pioneering companies. In 2018, 350 organizations – with brands like Netflix and Spotify heading the list – stepped into the spotlight.
To apply, a company should have implemented innovation within a recent year.
The competition covers around 35 different categories, based on geography and industries – from Live Events to Architecture to Africa. Every applicant can make entries in three different categories.
Upon a careful review, the Fast Company’s team of editors selects the most innovative organizations. The list of winners is released every Feb on the web, as well as in the March/April issue of Fast Company Magazine.
Why this matters to us
Since launching, Setapp has grown to 150+ apps and gained multiple product perks like Family plan, marking apps as favorites, and Gift Cards store. As pioneers of a subscription app model, we see a huge potential for our product and are prepared to keep pushing the boundaries in what we do. Knowing there’s support and trust out there means everything.
In Feb 2018, we were nominated for Interactive Innovation Awards within SXSW. This year, Fast Company helped us raise the bar even higher. As we’re taking home the award, we’re very proud our thirst for novelty and company’s approach have been so highly rewarded.
