I love focus in principle but it causes a lot of problems in practice and I usually end up uninstalling it. The biggest problems currently are: 1. It causes MSFT Edge (which work more-or-less requires) to randomly bounce between tabs and windows constantly (every second or two), making it completely unusable. (This may be caused by another application, but since this is the first use of Focus on this machine it seems like it’s probably Focus. Maybe the interaction of focus with another utility.)

Is ok, the thing that makes it unusable for me is that the block preferences doesn’t allow to add more apps or more websites to the blocklist during focus session. So if you’re like me I have 20 hours sessions everyday to block distractions, you can’t add new distractions to the blocklist

Brilliant app that saves you a lot of time when I am unconsciously visiting websites. It will be great to have it on a mobile phone

Focus v1 is muc much better than Focus v2. Focus v2 is just useless in comparison to v1.

I’ve tried the scheduled focus, and sometimes it works, sometimes not. Quite confusing. Gonna try the other version.

How comes that Setapp is only getting the free version? No profiles, no proper overlay? Really??? That sucks big time

Wow, you deserve some credit here for re-releasing the older more popular version of your app. Thank you 🙏 The only thing I wanted in Focus 2 was the ability to import txt files with links (otherwise it’s a great app)

It just freezes when a focus session is started. All I want is to block a website, I guess I’ll have to look elsewhere.

It’s a good app, but the focus modes don’t work.

It would be nice to block not just the website but the whole domain. For example if I supply “domain.com”, I want to also block “site1.domain.com”, “site2.domain.com”

Brilliant. I work from home, and this helps to focus. I thought it would be difficult to configure, but 1) it does not require any complicated system setup (just a quick click “Allow”), and 2) it has many sites preconfigured, so it works straight away, blocking the most obvious sites like Facebook. And if needed, you can suspend the app for a few minutes.
