Amie has been a great boon for capturing meeting details definately a great addition to the setapp subscription. This is an updated review, and my previous review had some small issues, over the course of time they are progressing Amie and I have to say I am happy with it, but I did have to figure some things out, which is not a big deal. Thats not a reason not to give this one a go.

Doesn't work. My first time ever opening the app and it says "session expired". I click on "Continue with Setapp" and it opens a website where I click on "Authorize". "Safari cannot open the page because the address is invalid." The end.

This application consumes too much CPU and makes my Mac extremely slow.

I just find the interface too confusing - it’s not clear how it works, or what it does in total. Also, seems to have a strong reliance on Google services which limits its appeal.

I really like the simplicity and the quality of the summaries. What’s missing for me is the ability to interact with the transcription directly in the tool (e.g., asking specific questions). Today, I have to copy the transcript into another AI tool, which makes the process less efficient.

Nice app

I like the app, but I miss being able to use it on my iPhone as well, which isn't possible. I also miss being able to customize the meeting page. I'd like to be able to add some elements like Bento did.

I know you guys are new to Setapp, but the onboarding experience was not very pleasant, I expected more polish. It's difficult to understand what’s what. The notch widget is too tall and protrudes into the foreground app. But it has potential, I will give it a try. Also, why did you abandon your mobile app?

Just tried this for the first time on a Teams meeting - Love it! I need to find a manual / tutorial to learn how to get the most from this but it is brilliant.

App is good but it can be great, it has a lot of potential. A few bugs here and there, but overall has been good. This is the only app in Setapp that can do this, so I appreciate it.

I like the app, but it could be better: - Allow changing the title of the meeting/recording. for example “Ad-Hoc” Meeting title could be manually overriden when starting even if auto deducted after - Search or filter the transcripts - Yesterdays transcripts sometimes appear for today because of an automatic list created by subject - Auto exporting would be useful, or an api, or mcp - Auto stop could be more sensitive - Allow rename a transcript from the sidescreen

I wanted to love this. But it’s underwhelming with its features and once I installed it, I started having all sorts of issues with my inputs not working in the middle of meetings.

Has some rough edges, but overall an excellent app that let's me record both online and offline meetings.

This app is amazing. I had used other apps for this purpose and they always fell short, but the notes in Amie have been spot-on so far. Also it works great in Spanish. I’m extremely happy with this app, and I think it would be amazing to have IOS support as well.

I want to like this tool but right now it is unusable. It is unstable and slow, if you start playing a meeting, sometimes the player glitches and you can’t stop it. Other times the time it takes to render anything is terrible. On the other side, I could not find relevant updated information on its privacy policies. There is no real reason to use “online” STT as Whisper is incredible powerful and fast in m-series macs. There is no BYOK feature to ensure it uses my approved providers instead of who-knows-what there is behind the tool. The idea es great though, keep the hard work.

Tolle Meeting-Notizen, etwas mehr Accountvielfalt wäre nice (nicht nur Google, sondern auch Office), aber auch so ok. Etwas mehr Vorlagenvielfalt für wäre ebenso toll, ggf. auch die Anbindung an`s Adressbuch zur Auswahl der weiteren Personen. Super geile Responsezeiten vom Chef, absolute Empfehlung für alle!

Overall it was recently a saviour and has some abilities that an app like spellar doesnt have. It took a prerecorded meeting and trasncribed it and summarised it well. its simople to use and understand, though its integrations left me a little stumped. However it does not have the depth and sophistication of summary that an app like spellar has off the cuff. This I miss when using it.

Does a great job with transcriptions and maintaining “grouped” summaries. It also suggests email drafts, which is very cool. If you use one of the “built in integrations” for apps, it is seamless. I like that it doesn’t require inviting a bot to your meetings, and records directly from system audio. One killer feature - it can be configured to automatically record every meeting without you having to hit start. And, if you have ad hoc meetings, its calendar integration can even add those meetings to your calendar so you have a record of them. If you are using Obsidian which isn’t yet directly integrated (like me), you will have to do some manual gyrations to get your notes our of Amie into your app - but the summaries are very good, so I’m looking for other ways to automate this and have requested an automation to “export meeting notes to a specific file systems location in markdown format.”
