I’m really enjoying the app. I was surprised by just how much I’ve come to enjoy this texture as a way to reduce eye strain and have an overall better experience reading. The ability to pick different textures and adjust the intensity is great.

I was surprised by the app. I really like the idea, and I must say I also like the way my screen looks after applying one of the textures. But ….. there is also literally only 1 texture that I like in my DARK setup - ‘Painter’s Press’. All other textures considerbly lighten the desktop, and that is not what I think someone wants when having a dark setup. I hope that the future will bring a couple of textures fit for a dark setup. For example Mulberry Veil and Saddle Linen could be darker… Then I would really like them as well. But overall, thumbs up, and for the time being I am using Painter’s Press. Response on the response from the developer: I appreciate your feedback. I still stand by my view that the textures are not great for a dark setup. I have used the settings for dark mode, but it is still too light for my liking. I suggest that you compare the texture ‘Painter’s Press’ with the other textures and then you will see what I mean. At least that is what I hope 😜

Remarkable. I find it best when used at a very low intensity. But, the effect is very nice. How about a switch to apply the texture ONLY to the desktop background and/or desktop icons?

Such a great little app! I stare at a screen most of the day, and it feels so much “softer” on my eyes. I especially like “Whisper Weave” at about 15%

Offers nice effects to reduce eyestrain; especially that due to the glare from light-/white-colored areas. Like the snooze function too, since a screen capture is affected by the on-screen texture Paperman produces.

This is very cool! When I first heard about this, I thought, uh ok. Then, I installed it to try it out. I’m 3 seconds in and I’m a huge fan!

I am surprised how much I like this app. I read text a lot as a copywriter and constantly have eye strain. Can’t really say if it helps with the eye strain yet, but I like the reading experience a lot. I think it needs more textures, and they could be improved. On a wide monitor, the resolution seems low. Also, increasing the intensity makes the screen brighter overall – this might be unavoidable, but I only use low intensities as a result. I would love an appstore version so I could use this across my ipad and iphone to read on Kindle. That would be swell. I hope this app develops as it really has potential. 4/5 with room to be a 5. Thanks.

I really like it! Unfortunately it’s a bit buggy and often crashes or struggles to open, BUT when it works I really like it! I’m uninstalling and reinstalling and hoping I can get it to work again. :/ *fingers crossed* I do wish there were more options for the textures, as the textures are often pretty uniform and large. I would love it if you could upload your own png image to be able to use. I’d get and use a high res scan of my 300 lb cold press arches watercolor paper, with all of it’s varied textures, deckled edges, and it’s tiny weave. It’s a cool idea! Looking forward to it becoming more stable and fleshed out. P.S. Here’s the specific error I’m running into, can you help? “This copy of Paperman requires an active Setapp account installed on your Mac.” I have an active Setapp account that includes multiple devices. I am logged into the Setapp app. I believe I got a license for Paperman that includes 2 devices. What do you recommend I do to get it to work?
