Just tried TextSniper from Setapp and honestly, it's a game changer! Snags text from anywhere on screen super fast – images, videos, PDFs, you name it. Super accurate too. I love how dead simple it is. Hit the shortcut (CMD+Shift+2) and boom, text copied. They even added right-click on the menu bar icon to trigger capture now – perfect. Only tiny thing: launching it from Setapp just drops the icon in the menu bar, no Dock icon. Clean, but took me a second to notice. If you grab text from screen a lot, grab this one. Totally worth it. Highly recommend! 🚀

This app is totally worth the Setapp subscription. It works super reliably and my Windows friends have searched in vain for something comparable on their OS. LOL. Sorry... It is the most used app - TYSM!

Works as advertised!

Some processing of text on the application’s end would be nice. When sniping narrow columns of text, I don’t want each line-break to be captured as empty space. In an ideal world (for me), the application could recognise genuine paragraph breaks and maintain them in the copied text accordingly. Generally the user does not want line-skips in the middle of a sentence, ever. It would be a huge time-saver and QOL improvement if that could be implemented. Thank you for a great app! These are minor gripes.

Amazing app. I had a problem with getting the app to work and the support was wonderful. Rarely do you get instant help and quality human support in today’s world. Great app, great people behind it.

Text sniper does what it says, particulary for stubborn PDFS or images that you can’t copy or edit.

TextSniper is absolutely fantastic! It’s easily one of the best and most useful apps I’ve installed on my Mac in a long time. I can’t even describe how much time it saves me every single day, both at work and at home. It always works flawlessly and instantly. The accuracy is remarkable; it just gets the job done without any hassle. It’s become an essential part of my daily workflow, and I honestly don’t know how I managed without it.

Very impressive app. I wasn’t convinced by its utility before I tried it. Now, I know that I will use TextSniper everytime I will need to extract a part of a text scanned, even if the scen is not perfect.
