Works, but the fit and finish is not great. Misregisters clicks, appears partly of screen and can’t be placed back. Overcomplicated for what I need, would be great if there was an option to simplify the interface.

The app seems okay, but it's missing some simple UI features that make it cumbersome to use. Simple things like easily copying colors to the clipboard, etc.

Nice app, but zero support and no import frm current pallets.

Sip seemed great at first, but in the years I used it on and off, I kept running into major functionality issues. Arranging colors in palette often doesn't work. I see the "Color Moved" alert, but nothing happens. Other times, colors get duplicated or moved somewhere unexpected. Most disruptive are the fixed keyboard navigation shortcuts. They conflict with basic MacOS text editing: Hit ← to add a missed letter? Navigates to the previous color. Instinctively try to clear a color's title field with ⌘⌫ — cursor in place at the end of the text, blinking and ready to go? Deletes the whole swatch. There's no "undo" for that; you just to hope you remember what it was. I use this example because I'm constantly labeling and re-labeling my swatches. Any time I tweak a hex code, Sip renames the swatch using its preferred naming scheme, removing my custom, function-based labels (at least you can undo that). Over the years, across 2 computers I've seen no fixes for these critical QOL issues :(

Echoing other users' dismay at having lost years of work + total loss of functionality after the 4.0.2 update. Clipboard history no longer works, palettes wiped. A colossal blunder.

An essential tool for any web developer or designer!

I use Sip from the moment it came out, but the quality of the app is getting worse and worse. Numerous bugs, unstable, bad cloud syncing, strange Screen Recording settings etc. Very disappointed in the evolution it made…

Not working on new mac os

The app will not launch upon selecting it. Tried to uninstall and reinstall but issue still remains. Please fix this!

Sync options disappeared. I lost 2 years of work. Color history doesn't work anymore. UPDATE Since 4.0, SIP is not even detecting colors in my clipboard. I’m running macOS 15.5, clean install. UPDATE SIP 4.02 doesn’t detect colors after fully uninstall/re-install using Clean My Mac. The app is a joke; I can’t delete random colors that the app detects. They re-appear over and over again.

Reports the wrong colors! I’ve verified this over and over again, but the app reports the wrong colors… they are close, but incorrect.

I’ve been using this app quite a lot over the years. It is so useful. But the amount of UI bugs is staggering. I have to downvote it after it deleted multiple palettes without my conscent. That’s potentially hours of work. By bugs I mean: Palettes disapearing, colours names changing randomly, no feedback on what’s editable and what is not, newly created empty palette disapearing after drag and drop… Basically, clicking anywhere in this app comes with some amount of stress because you don’t know what to expect, or if your collection is going to suddenly get messed up. I really, really wish it could get better so that I can recommand it to the team, coworkers and friends. Cheers to the dev for what this is app already is, but how much more it could be if those bugs could get fixed. Ready to work with them to help fix them. EDIT: 4.0 brought nice features but the bugs are still there. I was able to delete an unselected locked palette while deleting another palette.
