Transcription of a 7.5-minute mp4 video stuck at 99% for hours. Tried multiple times. Not usable at all.

Cuando lleva la mitad, se corta y me pide credito.. Es normal o es un nuevo sistema de cobro?

I downloaded this app about a month ago and have used it a handful of times — it worked really well for my use case initially. However, over the last few days I've been experiencing a frustrating issue where transcriptions hang at around 98% and never complete, while still consuming my credits. Disappointing given the promising start. Hope this gets looked into.

The new update is awesome. It’s very polished and easily fetches transcripts from YouTube URLs.

The app works somehow good - but it have a wokeness to it i’m not agreeing with. i dont agree with how it interpret things. also, that i need to do this onboarding thing for every update or whatever it is is annoying. its absolute waste of my time that i repeatedly have to tell what i am going to use the app for, and enter my API key over and over again..

It surprised me very positively. I'm a "traditional" audio podcaster and am moving towards video and social media clips, posts, etc. WhisperTranscribe provides a lot of tools which are very useful, not only for social media, but also to prepare summaries, key talking points, fact checking, easy transcription editing and quick clips. A hidden gem, congrats to the developers.

It worked very well and was accurate.

Buggy as anything in the last 3+ months. Transcriptions regularly fail, whereas no problems on other apps.

Hangs at 99% progress. Tried multiple times. On a 35 second video. Disappointing.

Keeping me asking for an API install, and did not work well at all. Trying to install the app instead.

It spent $0.46 on my OpenAI account and didn’t finish the transcription. Limited to older GPT models. Not recommended.

i truly dont know how to use this. I tried to talk somethign and transcibed it accurate, however, so many options there and no guide.

using it with cursor for reducing keyboard use. works great!

It rarely works for me. I get an endless loop at 99% of the time when transcribing my voice notes.

Hung at 98% giving no clue whether it had done anything up to that point ..

L’appli annonce un cout de 1 crédit SetApp AI (mon fichier dure moins de 5 min; 3 min pour etre exacte) mais je débité de 11 crédits. C’est pas honnete. Et cerise sur le gateau, La transcription n’a même pas été faite, l’appli tourne en boucle arrivée à 96% de traitement. C’etait juste pour tester heureusement. Je n’irais pas plus loin ! Appli catastrophique.

This is a superb app. I had a problem recently, and support was so quick to come back to me, tell me what I needed to fix, and I was up and working very quickly. I use it a tremendous amount to transcribe long voice notes from people I want to work with, and reels I want to work with. The list goes on, and it is a super, super app. I do use the AI to create notes, and I have a series of standard prompts to extract data. It is a really brilliant app ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 10/10

Update March 2026: still using this regularly to very quickly transcribe and summarize text. I often it to grab specific clips as well. Amazing all-in-one transcription and video clip/audio creation tool. Plug in OpenAI API key and go.

WhisperTranscibe is underrated on Setapp. It works very well: accurate transcriptions, works on vidio files from a variety of sources, and works on local files.
