I like the organization logic that allows you to sort things without getting too overwelming and some of the meta data options look like they will be useful, especial once AI is better. That said, in-app AI is next to useless. I know Setapp is trying to cash in on AI, but to work effectively with projects and todos, you need to be able to connect to your own knowledge base. So chuck the credit formual, give us an MCP or direct connceiton to Claude or ChatGPT. Charging for credits for your own AI model in app is not a good business model and will not survey. Technically, I could build this whole thing in Claude if I wanted to do, but I prefer Setapp do that work, but I still need my own AI and context.

Great idea, but not quite ready for prime time. I imported my OmniFocus tasks, which went very smoothly. I have a LOT of tags and it imported them all. The issue came when I attempted to plan a day. It ate through all 300 AI credits and then the app froze. The day plan looked like it mgiht be good but i’ll never know because it was lost when I had to ForceQuit the app.

The way it works is really cool, but lots of conflicting statements. On your help docs, it lists that there’s an iOS/iPadOS app. On the website, it doesn’t. It would be nice if it could sync to a mobile app. Or even with reminders. I like having my todo list on the go. But it’s a really cool app overall. Definitely needs to button things up.

I agree with other comments about the app not being ready for prime time. It’s extremely ambituous, but lots of rough edges and the AI layer, which is kind of the whole point, consumes credits at a ridiculous pace. Every action I try to do throws an error about not enough credits. At the very least, it should allow us to connect to our own AI provider, rather than being locked into buying Setapp AI credits at the absurdly inflated Setapp price. The UI is also not very intuitive. For example, if I want to edit a task title, I have to select the task then edit the title in the sidebar. It should be possible to edit the title inline. Also, there’s no way to assign a time to a task, which means this can’t fully replace Apple Reminders. I hate having to spread tasks into multiple applications. Another issue is that it supports nested tags, but you can’t create them on the fly. You should be able to create a nested task by typing tag/tag2/tag3 like how Bear works.
