Hand Mirror is one of those utilities that I can’t live without now that I’ve used it. I just got a new machine from my employer, and getting Hand Mirror installed via Setapp was high on my list of priorities.

Setup not working. I click on allow (camera) but nothing happens. Something is not right. Probably because of Tahoe 26.2

Not a fan. First, it immediately brings up a First Steps screen with the an active button for the first step and shaded for the next to steps. FIrst step is to give the app camera permissions. When I click the Allow button, it briefly changes shade of blue to acknowlege the button press. Then nothing.

It crashes every other time I launch the app

Stuck just launched on permission window

Doesn’t work. You click allow and nothing happens. I’ve tried doing all sorts of security auth - nothing.

I was working perfectly until the last update. Now it doesn’t work…

When I try to change the camera the preview window just closes and doesn’t change the camera. When I reopen it is still on the wrong camera. Otherwise a solid tool. I just need that to work.

Can’t get past the onboarding window. The onboarding is trying to be cute with the “Click on the icon in the menu bar” step, which I am doing, but for some reason isn’t recognizing, and thus won’t let me past that first screen. This app is trying to do too much compared to earlier versions—I just need it to be a popup for my camera, not all this other stuff.

Unfortunately application stuck on permission screen.

Was unable to make it allow access to camera, the button just did nothing. Followed a bunch of steps online to try and get it to work but nothing worked.

I was using Hand Mirror on my Mac before I used it with Setapp. I like the app but I am finding all of the software to use video calls have the ability to check your image before going live, but Hand Mirror is a stand alone app and I am not sure if this app is not going to be Sherlocked in the future.

I have an issue that’s a bit specific, I use the app trough a mac shortcut (its only fiunction is to Open Hand Mirror) becasue the notch is already for another app and the menu bar is full and when the app is opened this way, i have to toggle the "Show icon in the Dock" button in the settings of Hand Mirror to make it leave. It’s no big deal, really, I’m just gonna use the menu bar instead but if you don’t know what to improve here you go :)
