Activation on both iOS and iPadOS fails with the app crashing. I have tried directly from the devices as well as via the mac app.

Not sure why there is no mac app available as it does exist. Currently The web app and the ios app are not able to synchronise as they require seperate accounts, one a setapp account and the ios its own signup process - quite a poor implementation of a setapp arrangeement. Ill stick to using iOS app and airplaying but would appreciate being able to listen on my mac whilst i work.

I’ve been looking at subscribing to Headway before they joined SetApp, and I’m glad I didn’t. There are so many summaries with such ”robotic” voices that are just impossible to listen to. Also fairly few book summaries that actually teach you something new, but that might not be Headway’s fault :P

Après dix minutes d’écrans de personnalisation intrusifs et franchement casse-pieds, exaspéré, j’ai fini par abandonner avant d’avoir accédé au moindre contenu. Je cherchais des résumés de livres et non à entrer dan une secte.

The web app uses Setapp for login but the iOS app wants you to create an account so you have two different accounts and you can’t sync your library between the web and iOS. That doesn’t make any sense. Can the developer comment?

Tengo setapp y uso mi cuenta principalmente en mi Mac. Anteriormente Headway permitía usarla independientemente en iOS. Ahora solo me permite usarla en la Mac y es poco práctico…he dejado de usarla, pero me gustaría que pudiera volver a utilizarse en iOS sin necesidad de suscribir un dispositivo adicional.

I enjoy the content enough, but I mainly use the iPhone app. Although they make it easy to activate the subscription through Set App, I have to reverify multiple times. After a few days of use, the iOS app marks the subscription as “Cancelled,” and I need to reauthenticate. Additionally, if you listen from the Web app, it doesn’t sync with your daily streak on the iOS app.

The automated reader voice is a bit flat on emphasis, and occasionally mispronounces words which can make the listening experience tough to focus on. I found myself drifting away from the content regularly because of that uncanny valley issue.

Hi Elan, Thanks for your honest feedback! We're sorry you didn't like the reader's voice. Currently, most of the summaries are still voiced by professional voice actors. Could you please specify what summary voiceovers you didn't like? We're constantly looking forward to improving the quality of the content, so we'll check and consider changing it.
