Did the trick! I had a USB hard drive that was no longer recognized by the Mac (Finder and Disk Utility could not even SEE the drive). But I installed this app and it recognized the drive enough to scan for files and I recovered the unique things I needed to save. Nice.

Worked well, however not sure if there was an option to just scan the trash that was recently used vs doing a long system scan.

I prefer Disk Drill to iBoysoft. I found iBoysoft slow and found items that I considered unecessary. I thought Disk Drill was simpler, faster and more efficient.

The document i need it it doenst bring that back only the doument that macbook had before.

Does not work, also asks for way tooo much permissions, connects/ tries to connect and send data from device to internet.. Highly suspicious!

It kept asking for me to allow the kernel extension. I clicked Allow and restarted my laptop but when I tried to recover the data, it asked for the same thing again

Great app, just saved me an embarrassing trip back to a client after an accidental delete trying to quickly make room on my hard drive.

excellent app

Somehow my SD card got corrupted and was unreadable in any software, though it still appeared in Disk Utility. When I plugged it back into my camera, I was prompted to format it. I searched Setapp for a recovery tool, and the app I found did its job—I managed to recover all my photos. However, I feel the software could be improved. Other recovery tools I’ve used in the past allow you to preview files while the scan is in progress. This feature is especially useful because it lets you confirm that the detected files are the ones you actually need. Having such a preview option would be a valuable addition.

Needs a kernel extension, destoyed a new USB-C drive and got me nothing.

Wasn’t able to recover the video deleted a week ago.

Very Very Slow - plus takes up too much computing resourses. Needs to be faster and more meaningful.
