This is a great password manager I have relied on for years. Lightning-fast developer support when I needed a little assistance migrating to Secrets 4!

lost all my last version secrets data

I successfully switched from 1Password. I have some minor complaints about its features, but I have high hopes for the future.

Early days yet, but first impressions are very good. A question to the developer got a response within a few hours.

I'm going to amend my previous review. I just did some testing, and although I still have some concerns I did get it working with my large number of items. I do think that you need to watch out for things like local vault vs icloud vault. If you turn on icloud 99% of people will want all their stuff synched but you could easily not figure this out. Aslo create a backup frequently. I shyed away for Secrets becasue I got myself int unrecoverable situations several times in the past. I’ll give it several months and see what happens.

Underrated app. If you want a simple secure way to store certain things, this app is non-nonsense and convenient. It solved a big problem for me and I’m grateful to have found it. Improvements could be made on the importing side of things, and being able to edit the number of fields in a certain data type would be welcome, but a bit of work in BBEdit can make almost any data importable.

bad syncing teribble chrome integration

Terrible integration with old version. Keep dragging the secrets.secrets file to the new Secrets 4 app and it forgets all passwords everytime I open it. Even if I move the old password file into the new app’s folders. Where is your support information? Its not even in the app’s funactionality

I like it. It’s just what I needed. I’m not using it for passwords, but I wanted a quick access app in the menu bar up top to save my API keys, one click, it’s perfect. To Dev: I’d love if you added a new type of entry for API Keys. It doesn’t need a lot of fields, Name, API Key, but sometimes they might also include API Secret, Endpoint URL, expiration, Organization… those are probably the main fields it would need. Just my suggestion :-)

de momento va super bien

The app seems to be a little buggy on the new operating system. Not sure if dev is still updating it

This product suffers from any dev updates. Created once, then dumped for profit into Setapp. It’s ability to reconcile basic fuzzy-searches like "google" or "gmail" is a mind-boggling disaster. Password apps—from a user’s perspective—need to accomplish one thing only: the ability to search. It’s the only thing that’s always been broken for years since launch, and the only thing that’s never been updated. Use BitWarden instead, it’s free and yknow…works.

“It is impossible to export this data from Secrets. The CSV file is never in the correct format.”

The password app I have been waiting for all these years. I have used many, this is by far the cleanest and easiest to use.

Update** Contacted Developer directly and recieved some help. It’s a bit of a workaround but it works. I now have access again. Paulo replied promptly and was supportive. —————— Went to open my Secrets app. and suddenly it said app. couldn’t be located with an error message. Had to come here to learn what’s going on and tried to emigrate my data.. after a couple of tries it worked then next day it was all gone again. Not happy. Currently cannot access my data. And no longer is the migration working either..?!

The app feels a bit simplistic for what it wants to achieve. Import from .1pux feels half baked. I genuinely did not find how to fill a passkey in Chrome. The browser extension feels like a broken bridge ; it doesn’t allow you to fill specific fields as the autofill is happening in the app UI. Though I have to say using the app as the browser extension window is pretty clever.

This application is a good replacement of 1password and a good complement to Apple password. it is pleasant and easy to use.

Great App

Great password manager

Secrets is one of the finest password and secrets security apps available. Simple to use, solid, and well designed.
