I wish i could give this a neutral review because PRO: it does work, CON: it has random moments where it blows out colours of things and the highlights for whites are way too strong. Hopefully that’s fixed with an update but it does only happen about 17% of the time, the other 83% is all good.

“Disable for this Display” does not work. It’s very annoying with mix displays. On your single machine, it’s perffect. I would recomend, dispite it’s issue.

Great app. Brightness is outstanding.

It may be my model of laptop. I have an M1 Air. But it made no change whatsovever to the brightness.

Fonctionnait super bien avant MacOS 26.0 sur mon M3 Pro, maintenant quand je branche mes écrans secondaires et qu’il se met en veille, à l’allumage la luminosité se remet automatiquement à 0.. donc plusieurs fois par jour je suis obligé de remettre la luminosité comme je veux, ce n’est pas du tout pratique et je n’arrive pas à régler ce problème.

Works great on my MacBook M4 – but note the f.lux conflict Vivid works beautifully on my MacBook Pro M4 and makes the display look stunningly bright even in sunlight. However, it’s important to know that Vivid is incompatible with f.lux – you can’t run both at the same time without issues (color distortion, flickering, etc.). I recommend disabling f.lux while using Vivid or switching to Night Shift instead. Otherwise, great app!

M4 MacBook Air — does not work. The dropdown just says “no compatible displays.”

It doesn’t work on my MacBook Air M4, neither does it work on my external 4K monitor.

In principle, this ia a very simple app, but it is one of my favorites. Having that extra brightness on my Macbook Pro makes a huge difference to my laptop experience.

Does not work on all Macs with Silicon chips, or on external screens.
