You’ve known about the deadline for a while, but there’s always been something more important, like that video you were tagged in or that endless debate on Twitter. Now panic has set in. You can’t focus for long enough to get the project done, and it seems like you’re going to miss the cut-off.
Where would we be in life without alarms? Alarms get us to work on time, to the airport on time, to church on time; they stop us missing deadlines and birthdays and remind us to take our medication when we need it. They’re useful for everything.
