So ultimately, this is a good app for screen recording; however, I always have to uninstall this app and reinstall it because it has issues on start up. I thought sending a report multiple times would fix this issue, but it has not. Hoping the developers can look into this issue because it’s a pain.

It’s ok. But… Yes, there’s a but! One niggle that happens at least daily is that the keyboard shortcut stops working. Quitting and restarting Capto makes the keyboard shortcut start working again. The fact that it starts working again after quitting and restarting the app shows the issue is in the app. I have even charged the shortcut to something 100% not used by anything else and have checked there is not a keyboard shortcut conflict.

Is there a feature that allows me to record an specific window? I see the option to take a photo of a specific window but not record.

I’ve been a Mac user and video creative pro for 20+ years. I use Capto frequently to produce a quick tutorial for members of my department at work. It’s very helpful, highly recommend.

Doesnt allow to adjust resolution settings when recording :(. Just downloaded FocuSee on Setapp which is so much more flexible and offers tons of other features. Sorry guys, but that makes me change software..

Horrible, je pense qu’il y a un soucis, mais quand j’exporte mes vidéos que je viens d’enregistrer l’application quitte sans arrêt, donc j’ai perdu du temps de l’énergie et je peux recommencer, car l’application n’est pas capable d’exporter ma vidéo. Merci et bravo au développeur.

Easy to navigate controls. But won’t save longer videos. Couldn’t tell you what the cut off length is and won’t tell you why there was an error (i have plenty of free storage). Frustrating to run it and end up with no file. I would have chosen another program.

v2.1.3 keeps crashing repeatedly on Sequoia 15.6.1… lost all my work on project multiple times. Fool me twice, shame on me. Didn’t have the issue with Sonoma.
