Didn’t like that it adjusted the dimming each time I changed the content of my screen - too many changes were distracting

Nice idea! Lots of potential here. A couple of issues: 1. The dimming overlay stays unaligned when dragging a window slowly. 2. There’s a slight delay with the overlay while dragging, which gets a bit distracting. A couple of suggestions: 1. I’d love to dim the colors based on their lightness rather than just dimming the whole window equally. 2. It would be great to have a way to exclude specific apps from the dimming effect.

FINALLY! THANK YOU SO MUCH! I actually started working on an app to solve this exact problem, but it got lost among a million other things requiring my attention. UPDATE: THIS IS EXTREMELY BUGGY. I'll leave the thumbs-up for now(!), but it often uses the window from the wrong app to define the area to darken, it sometimes seems to believe the screen is smaller than it really is, it flickers sometimes (changing darkness suddenly and unnecessarily) and it sometimes darkens one thing WAY too far while not darkening most things nearly enough. It's better than nothing, but only a little bit.

I want to love this, it works beautifully and magically. But, it has been the first app that really makes my M1 Max Macbook pro really lag & stutter, so I had to turn it off. Anyway, I’m giving it a thumbs up but hope there can soon be a way for it not to bring my machine to a crawl. Important to note: I might be an edge case with 5 external displays!

great app for dark mode users who have this one app that is so bright white it’s like a flash bang in the eyes. would only want it to have smooth transition between brightness levels (e.g. when switching from white page to gray page)

So far I am really enjoying this app. Works quite well. Something I’ve always needed. One suggestion for future updates would be to allow two schedules to be active at the same time. I’d like to have some reduction in brightness during the day, and a different larger reset during the night. Perhaps that can be added down the road. Thank you.

nice to have in next upgrades, it’s still have a ‘flash’ from the bright screen to the dimmed screen. Would like to have it without the flash. Thanks!
