I don’t torrent often but, when I do, it’s with Folx all the way. Simple interface but requires you to understand how torrenting works.

Does not work. I tried to download a video on Chrome and it just gave me a bunch of gobbledegook.

Please update the app to fully support of apple silicon.

Recently it just freezes when I try to do anything. I’ve tried restarting and updating my computer but there seems to be no rhyme or reason to it.

Used to be reliable and straightforward. Not sure when, but a release a few months ago made it crash on my machine within 2-4 minutes. I’ve sent many crash reports, no fix. I’ve moved on.

Full of bugs. Crash every 2 minutes and because of that, not faster at all :-(

Edit: Seems that the issues are fixes. Got some crashes now and then, but at least I can use it. Worked great for years, but since November it crashes and make the computer reboot.

Great app! Downloads quickly. Good UI

Haven’t downloaded torrents in years. Used to use microtorrent on Windows PC. Folx on Mac seems pretty good so far, although have not figured out how to cycle through active torrents when top torrents are not downloading but some of the lower torrents on my list might actually have active torrents but are not active since not at top of my list.

Folx runs for 30 seconds to 2 minutes and then locks up. After that, it must be force-quit. It’s a completely unusable app.

Used to be great, but the latest version has real problems. It locks up every time you use it, and that makes it unusable. On top of that, it requires rosetta on Macs with an apple cpu. It should have a native mode by now.

When downloading 60GB of files, it also eat 60GB of your memory. This might be a memory leak bug.

Sadly I can’t get it to work consistently anymore, it freezes.

The app stopped being usable. Any big files to download - and it freezes. Start several downloads of medium/bigger files - and it freezes. At this point, it’s unreliable so I would not recommend using it. Maybe try to find a differents solution.

A great app rendered useless because it freezes after several minutes and can only be closed via “force quit”.

The Safari extension does not work in Folx version 5.28. The Folx icon does not appear in the Extensions settings, so I am unable to activate it. Folx is a very convenient app for downloading files with multiple links, but it's frustrating that I can't use it with the Safari browser.

Wow, it’s nice to see that my favorite torrent app is getting new life! It’s been a loooooooong while since this app was last updated. Thanks to the developers for revisiting this app and not permanently abandoning it.
