Best file manager I’ve tried so far, I like it better than Finder, Path Finder and Commander One.

Now won't launch, but before that buggy on a simple stfp connection; it did actually connect in the first place, and then as soon as requested to do anything... boom - plain blank, black screen. Now just quits on launch; really disappointing.

Integrate with Apple's password management so that I don't have to constantly find my FTP server password.

As a mathematician\ engineer\ early creator of MicroController systems & sensor design of indutrial equipment retrofitting\ Commercial Pilot \ CompSci, Dev stretching fm Assembly, Machine coding, GW Basic to now 300+ languages (ALL fun-I wanted to create games, not play them) at 11y- “Dick Smith VZ200” c.1983. I used THIS in automation design), Snr Biz Analyst, CTO, CIO, lecturer in Tech Mgmt & MBA in 2000-2002. Was “Online Learning Manager” of Higher Edu Institutions, IT specialist in fraud and CyberSecurity. Still doing 3 PGrad. OK TL;DR- 41 yrs in Aviation\IT\learning, was to lend honest gravitas + Exp. Assessing my BEST TOOLs. When,used correctly FL, truly the best enterprise grade (imho) “File\Folder” manager out there. A pros tool. Once you master the ‘mental models’ around what you are trying to do - step back and objectivly ‘look’ at the workflows & tasks. FL can do most. FINDERs BB, don’t occur in FL-different subsys

It does not have refresh button, which I am required to keep disconnect and connect when i want to transfer new build app

Version 4 was a bit rough at the start, but it has been very stable for me lately and works very well now.

Took me a few tries to get it set up right, but now it works great! Definitely the way to go instead of the Finder.

Most feature complete SFTP, FTP, WebDav, Amazon S3, Backblaze B2, Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, Rackspace Cloudfiles, SMB, AFP, and NFS client out there for native Mac experience! Nobody comes even close. Things like Regex Search, Batch Renaming or Workspaces can’t be found in this combination in any other „FTP“ App out there. Thank you! 😊

It doesn’t work with WebDAV… no matter if I use http, https, domain names or ip addresses.

Way better than Finder, in every way possible.

it was a usefull app until it started to crash on a regular basis => i suspect it crashes in combination with Google Drive folders on mac (Shared drive folders from company account), it crashes now on macos Tahoe

Not very reliable on samba shares and throw random javascript errors. Otherwise, some great functions.

OMG is this thing buggy, 3rd review edit: Whatever is changed in settigs won’t be saved immediately. Every sys change catches up only with the penultimate. Initially loved it cos you can custonise the theme but any customisation creates a new one, and sometimes it switches back to the old one. I ended up having 3 different sand profile themes and cannot delete the old ones. Also, cut and paste is not working even though corrently assigned in shortcuts which bothers me most.. Tags are buggy as well, folder contains red tags and green tags, but in parent folder only green shows up. Would give it a rating of 3.5 if there was something else than thumbs up or down.

Straightfoward FTP app with some nice automation features. Not using it lately, but it proved to be quite robust during the years when I did.

I left Forklift for about 2 years or so because after an upgrade to Forklift 4 my FTPs stopped connecting. Recently gave it another go and everything now works again. Happy to have forklift back as a muktitasker!

Forklift is continuing to develop while remaining stable and reliable. A great dual-pane alternative to the Finder!
