First app I install on all devices. Not only does it provide a great deal for some of the best apps on the app store, but ir providdes soem of the most essential apps I like to use to maximize productivity and keep my MacBook running smoothly.

I have enjoyed this product. I definitely dont use it to its full potential. It has been easy to use and seemless.

There are a number of useful feature in this app, but using its to ‘clean’ as the app name suggests, has proven for me far too destructive. Essential system files are deleted, forcing a restart just to enable apps to work again. Maybe if you really know what you’re doing the app can be useful, but it puts way too much power in my hands. Proceed with caution! (and most Mac experts say cleaning tools like this are nonessential; I don’t know for sure but check online for reviews before using).

Keep crashing every time.

This app continues to get worse and worse - just like MacPaw’s customer service. Features that are supposed to work simply don’t… and it’s an utter waste of your time bringing it to their support team. More than once I’ve reported issues, been asked to run their “support tool” and found a ZIP file including MY PERSONAL PHOTOS AND DOCUMENTS sitting on my desktop that they wanted me to upload. Sadly this is another piece of “fluff” from MacPaw to try to drive revenue.

It was working just fine, now you decided too change the whole interface and made it more difficult to use, and also remove functions such as the document schredder. If they are still there you just hid it too well to find them. Update: Battery drain through cleanmy mac is also very high!

I used this app when I first got my Mac, but I realised it wasn’t necessary. Just remember to clear your cache periodically and flush your DNS. Using this app caused significant issues for my system, to the point where I had to factory reset. It deleted too many files, and many programs stopped working afterwards. I can’t emphasise enough—YOU DO NOT NEED THIS APP. Anything made by MacPaw feels like a scam, and their software has been quite disappointing. The only decent product they’ve offered is Setapp. This program is inadequate; it should specify which files to whitelist.

I could not be as productive and creative with CleanMyMac keeping my Macs in top working order.

Love it! I just don’t like Moonlock getting pushed down my throat. It is bloated and too activity-prone for Mac. Take that from a 31-year cybersecurity veteran.

It’s lost some functionality in recent years, but the features that remain are still useful.

I started using Clean My Mac not long after the App became available, and have stuck with them ever since. My son and grandson asked why I use the App, when I can clean the Mac manually. I explained that doing it manually takes much longer, plus I am much older that them and the Clean My Mac App does the work 100 times faster, PLUS it is always evolving with new ways to more deeply clean the mac.

Bonjour et bonne et heureuse année 2026. Cocernamt CleanMyMac sous Tahoe il se plante souvent blocage ne répond plus… obligé de redémarrer et après ca marche….un peu déçu de ce comportement…

I have used CleanMyMac for a while and I don’t love the new version. Clustering the scans makes it cumbersome and more exhausting. It still does a good job but now everthing I would have used it for to perform a quick scan… is buried and overly time consuming. I also can’t stand that there are no more contextual finder menu options (either quick actions or services) so I can’t simply select an app and choose UNINSTALL like in past versions. Maybe I’m missing something but if there is a way to enable it and it’s not easy to find/obvious… that’s on the developer… not the user.

Outstanding app. From interface to functionality, this app shines in every way.
