Defaul Folder X is one of the best software tools for Mac ever! I have been using it for over 20 years and am happy that it is now part of the Setapp set.

Hangs - does not open - constantly flags to sync via icloud.

Default Folder X ist fürs ernsthafte, intensive Arbeiten am Mac seit Jahren unverzichtbar. Erst die vielfältigen Erweiterungen, die Default Folder X bereitstellt, machen die Arbeit mit dem Finder erträglich. Ich empfehle Default Folder X allen Mac-Anwendern.

Great! Helps being more efficient. Small thing: Maybe the default templete should be ‘system’ instead of the old fashioned grey colors. Maybe the icons can be a bit more matching with the OSX theme.

Default Folder X is like a mind-reader, pulling up the folders and information I need in a split second. Awesome app.

I love Default Folder. I’ve been using it for years. It saves so much time navigating complex file structures that my Mac doesn’t feel complete without it. It’s one of the first apps I install whenever I set up a new machine.

Update: Thanks I fixed the privacy permissions. But still finding performance to still be pretty slow on my machine unfortunately. Not sure if that’s my setup, or the new Tahoe OS which did affect peformance for me. - I’m trying this app but I’m having performance issues on my M1 Pro MBP, which is a little unexpected.  There is a noticable delay before DFX takes over the open/save dialog and there are some boxes flickering in and out before DFX has fully taken over the dialog box. It seems a really useful app that I would like to use. But I’m finding the above is slowing me down a bit.

Nothing in Setapp will improve your productivity more than this app’s seamless, easy Finder enhancements. It saves me at least 5 minutes every day.

Not sure why, but this app has gotten quite slow despite being on a fully spec’d M3 Max with plenty of space and memory. Great in theory, but too laggy to be useful. Grabbing and draging the icon from the Menu Bar of the Finder window to the “Save As” dialog is faster for me.
