This has been an auto-install for a long time but the past year has been unstable, not working at all most of the time. Fix it or remove it from Setapp.

Very elegant, can be quite informative, but the localisaton is poor - i’ve gotten wet many times on 100% dry days - a couple of times hailed on when its 7-8C I won’t be renewing either my iOS setapp sub or the Forecast bar subs (they’re not included - another £25 pa)

New 11 rewrite is so far very nice. A very good refresh and still functional for those of us on older OSs.

Used for many years, but today it stopped working. It starts and closes immediately, reinstalling the app or restarting mac doesn’t help. It may be that app wasn’t updated for few years or its servers stopped working UPD: it started working again after few days. When it’s working the app is good, with helpful weather insights

Since the update to 5.8.9 a few days ago, the app no longer starts. A Finder message with the text "The application Forecast Bar.app can not be opened" and a number "6" and an "OK" button is displayed

Si l’idée est bonne, les traductions en français laissent clairement à désirer, ainsi que les options de personnalisation. Mise à jour le 27/08 : impossible de lancer l’application suite à une mise à jour. Bref, à jeter pour a part.

Buggy. Doesn't show the dropdown menu correctly on all desktops when sent to the menu bar, it only shows on one desktop. Update: Now, it won't show any system tray drop menu and there's no way to quit the app.

I last rated a couple of years ago with a big thumbs up. I came to use it as a regular weather check multiple times a day. But since updating to Sequoia it doesn’t seem to work. Very sad…

Doesn’t work with MacOS 26. Been months. Developer not interested anymore I guess.

A fine, well-featured weather app.

A few days ago, the app stopped working. After launching, it immediately closes. I tested it on two devices (MacMini M1 and MacBook Air (Intel)).

Just dropping and to say that I still am very enamored with the quality of ForecastBar for Mac OS. However, now I have discovered that there is a ForecastBar for IOS, but I find it strange to see that it hasn't been updated in nearly two and a half years. Any others out there think that is a bit strange? I would think that there had been some improvement in the way weather could be gathered or reported in nearly 30 months time.

I used to love this app - but the update in early May 2026 caused it to stop working completely. Fails with Sequoia and later. Have written the developer multiple times with no response or acknowledgement, which mirrors what many others have also said here. Shame as it was a good app.

Love this app on my mac desktop. (Though haven’t tried on mobile). Visually attractive, great provision for user configuration. So easy for a quick glance or more of a delve

It is failing to open right when I need it most. What good is a weather app if it dies during bad weather? (Perhaps because it is getting more requests than it can handle.)

Update - Sept 2025 - it started working again. FWIW many of my settings reset to default. (Not a big deal, just a heads up for anyone else). My original review, below for historical purposes: When it does work the app is great. Starting in mid August 2025 it has stopped working. The app starts and crashes immediately. I’ve done all of the obvious uninstalls/reinstalls etc and it still crashes. I tried to contact the developer, but they are not responding. I don’t think the app has been updated in several years. If they fix it, I will delete this review and give it thumbs up. It’s a good app when it works.
