I think it’s a neat product. I had used it a long time ago. But Nitro PDF Pro, which I used on this occasion to scrunch very bloated PDFs, did a fantastic job crushing them down to manageable sizes.

default kerning is a little rough but at least they let you edit it

Well dersigned and does it all. I use it everyday to read and mark up research papers, and for every other sort of pdf.

Super, schlank stark solide-

It is super buggy and frustrating to use… Selection of existing tet is supper finicky even with basic-structure PDFs… Incredibely dated UI and lacking in features…

Works great, does all the stuff like PDF merging etc

Excellent app and the more I use it, the more features I discover. “Add form fields to page” is fantastic! Not always 100% successful, but good enough and quick enough that it saves lots of time filling in non-form PDFs.

did not convert PDF to Word accurately

Adding form fields to a simple PDF form is relatively easy and can be automated to a limited extent once you learn by trial and error how to prepare the PDF correctly ahead of time. On the other hand, trying to edit PDF contant is a bug infested nightmare. Better to import the PDF back into Word or some other editor and restart your form creation from scratch. (Nitro PDF 13.3.1 on macOS 14)

This app is totally hard to use. Just need corp function and search plenty of doc with ai but still cannot found how to use it. Back to pdf expert now.

Hay cosas que faltan o no se encuntran en esta versión para macOS, como si en windows, por ejemplo, el unir varios PDFs en uno solo, en Windows la opción estaba en el menu principal, en macOS no esta a la vista, termine usando otra aplicación.

Given that portfolios require you to open PDFPenPro which no longer exists and there does not seem to be any workaround, Nitro is of very limited utility

I installed this hoping to be able to compare a couple of different PDf documents to understand where changes had been made. It was not immediately obvious how to do that so I clicked on the menu item that takes you to the help page on the website. It provides instructions, but the screenshots provided on support website look nothing like the product I installed. In fact, it’s hard to tell that the support article even related to the product. So it’s pretty useless if the help pages are so wildly inaccurate that you can’t recognize the product. What a waste of time. Makes me feel like my SetApp subscription keeps becoming less and less valuable.
