The app is super cool, and you can see that people building it know what they’re doing, but unfortunately, you cannot use it without a mouse. You can filter down the character list, but you cannot pick the character you need without lifting your hand from the keyboard.

I have used this app for years, it is simple app but does it well, when you need a special character this is the app to do it.

This app is an absolute must-have for any kind of typesetting and design, and has been since the early days of desktop publishing. It’s a pure power tool with incredible thought put into the UX design. It even works for quick access to emojis if you set them as favorites.

Always needed this but didn’t know until now.

PopChar is indispensable for (1) inserting unusual characters into text and (2) learning keymodifiers for frequently used special characters (e.g., bullet, degree symbol, superscript numbers).

Great app, use it all the time for writing chemical equations and more.

I was hoping it would help me find emojis and extended keyboard pictographic characters. I don’t need a font manager.

A must have utility!

The UI might be slightly rough, but the app is very useful. When I've needed a complete list of any type of character, this is the only app where I've found everything I've needed.

What a great app … My daily timesaver when working and inserting characters from multiple fonts. Couln’t live without it any more.

It’s been on my list to buy for a long time… Super little add-on adding a bit more vaule to Setapp.

Just for showing option-E option-` and option-U it’s worth to have a look. Why did I not know that? ;-)

Would be the perfect app if you could set it not to keep running after you close it. I don’t like having to close it twice every time.

So helpful when working with fonts. Easy to see if a font is available for all languages and symbols needed in my apps!
