I have used Soulver for many years. I use it for personal and business planning and for checking the totals expense reports. I just realised that Soulver had globbal variables and AI variable definitions. I didn't know that.

Pretty cool app! I like that you can keep track of different calculations for different needs, and that you can write in the equations as well as using the symbols. So for example I could say I want an average of…. and list the numbers rather than add them all and then divide.

I love this app and I am finding that the sync solution lags too much. I can miss significant information between locations.

Thanks for the positive review, Niels, and I appreciate your love for the app. I share your frustration with iCloud sometimes being slow to sync... Soulver uses iCloud Drive to store your sheets, and it's up to iCloud Drive to actually perform the sync. There's nothing we can do to force the sync, and sometimes it can get paused on a certain device. A restart of that device usually helps (it resets the iCloud Sync system and kicks it back into gear), and we've done a fair deal of extra work to make sure that no information is ever lost when a device "comes back online" after a period of being offline (everything is merged correctly, and no data is lost). I'd also like to see a more real-time sync solution in Soulver, though; it's something I'm actively thinking about and exploring using alternative syncing technologies.
