Is there any timeline for the Bartender 7 release? The current version has not been working properly since the update to macOS 27

EDIT_ To fix new version you have to go to setapp settings and turn on beta….author should update description. spent time looking and failing for beta updates in bartender. —— i just reinstalled on a new computer and even though it has screen and system recording enabled and its restarted the app and machine it still wont let me setup as stuck on allow access

UPDATE: Do not install Bartender 7 unless you are using Golden Gate! From previous review: Useful features but very buggy. Icons show up as squares so it’s impossible to arrange. All setting completely deleted when I quite and then reopened, so I had to arrange all over again. There are presets but it would be nice to have a ‘make preset from existing configuration’ to avoid the extra work. Hidden items appear sometimes, sometimes not. Very unpredictable behavior with mouse jumps and sometimes entire system becomes inaccessible.

Great app. Helpful for organizing the menu bar with lots of customization.

Awful service on their site you can download (paying) the Bartender 7.0.5 that should fix with Golden Gate Here you only get Bartender 6 Are they planning to leave Setapp??

Why haven’t you released Bartender 7? This hasn’t worked at all for months now with Mac OS 27…

Please either update it to the version that actually works (the one the developers are charging a subscription for) or remove it from the catalog. Keeping this app in the Setapp catalog misleads customers.

The app is nice, it cleans up the bar from the overload of icons. … when it works (most of the time it works fine). There’s quite a few occasions where it freezes, or freezes up the menu bar all together (meaning hard reset with the power button since plenty apps need the bar). Also several updates that bring the permissions back up, sometimes in a loop, which means re-installing. Then again, it also comes with plenty updates to fix the issues.

Much as I love the app, it has stopped working as of the MacOS 27 (Golden Gate) upgrade. Please release an upgrade.

Simply doesn’t work. Used to be a solid fixture of my setup, but now I spend more time try to get Bartender to even show my items without having to reinstall, clear permissions, and re-grant that it’s easier to just use macOS’ menu item hiding capabilites.

All the issues from version 6 of the app seem to have been fixed in version 7!

Major bug introduced and the setting no longer recognize macos screen recording settings. Constant popup about this, nothing you can do about it. Uninstalled.

Used to love bartender but still not functional after the latest release.

If you’re having trouble setting up like I did, make sure you have the beta opton turned on in your SetApp settings. Turns out, the older version of Bartender is no longer compatible with the latest macOS. But there is a beta that fixes the issue. Thanks for the response!
