Lots of great tools that make meetings more fun, but also allow me to signpost my roles as I join different meetings in differneet guises. Well worth using this for all its great features.

Great app, constantly evolving making it every day better

I use this for most online meetings and have not had any issues. It is great to be able to have my company logo and contact details on my screen during calls and I really like the onscreen timer too.

TL;DR: Worth a try but it’s a beta. Setapp, Please add more finished products. IMO, Boom should still be in beta. First version was okay, but after the last update it has become more buggy. There are MANY basic functions missing or frustrating to use. Would love if they tried to perfect something before adding new features. Of the MANY issues I have with it, one VERY basic annoyance is that there is no preference (settings) pane. I don’t need it to launch on startup but you can’t change that. HUGE disappointment but HUGE potential.

Interesting functionality, could be a bit more complete to be perfect. Pros: - Add editable layers over hte webcam - Add yourself as a popu-up window of the webcam when presenting. Con: - Present mode has little customization I wish it could have more themes anf angles / ways to presente (like mmhmm has). Reactions are kind of bureocratic.

keeps crashing Teams while on calls

I love the idea. After some weeks of crashes and bugs, now it actually works really smooth. Recommend!

This has been a useful (if somewhat confusing) app for some time. With the last release it has started to take 50% of my CPU which makes it unusable as the framerate drops and the responsiveness of my Macbook Air M3 is badly affected.

Great, but I was unable to uninstall it - the camera extension stays. I had to manually uninstall it.

It’s pretty great! I wish it felt a bit more “lightweight” because I literally only use it to reduce saturation on my MacBook and iPhone when used as a webcam. Feels like there’s an opportunity to release a smaller Boom that just gives you some colour-adjust sliders and that’s it 😜

Boom has completely changed the way I present online. Instead of boring screen shares, everything now flows through a clean, polished virtual camera that makes my demos look professional. The cinematic zoom, smooth layouts, and presenter overlays make a huge difference especially when showing software demos. It’s simple to use, works flawlessly with Zoom and Google Meet, and instantly levels up the quality of any presentation. Highly recommend it for anyone who wants their content to stand out.

Having trouble running on new macOS.

Does some cool things, but also has some issues. I would like an option to permanently hide the remote box. It pops up every time and it is very annoying to have to hide it ... but at least I can hide it now.

Sign in with Setapp isn’t working. Can’t even test the app.

extremely buggy app, tried to uninstall but it has virtual audio device added to my mac that doesnt go despite all the effort.
