Terrible export for mp4

Unusable in the current state. Crashes immediately after opening

The app is ok, but export is broken. Given that’s the most important feature, it’s useless at this time… if they fix that, maybe it’s worth using it for basic video editing.

Impossible to do basic transition

Okay, so the rating being under 90% didn't exactly fill me with confidence, I will admit. But I decided to give it a shot anyway. I'm glad I did! The interface is surprisingly simple and straightforward. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles that some other tools do, but it gets the job done. I used it for trimming and stitching videos, and it worked perfectly. No complaints here!

Its good for short edits, for longer footage it hangs

After spending time editing a very short video, the app won’t export! I have tried various export options but nothing happens, it stays at 0% export. VERY annoying as it looks like it’s wasted my time. Setapp need to vet their apps better.

There is a serious permission problem when you want to export. And the app does not say anything at all. You just wait till, well it does nothing you can wait until eternity. So in case you want to save the export to a normal directory than the default one, well, DON’T. Otherwise you won’t be able to save it at all. In case you changed the default directory it is in Home->Library->Application Support->Filmage Editor the app can save and export to this directory, for other parts of your system, app does not ask for your permission, hence osx disallows but app forgets to tell you that something is wrong… The editing is simple-ish, but some controls are buggy and not so fluid.

It’s totally unusable. It’s filled with glitches and bugs, and it lacks basic features. The UI/UX is simply terrible.

Sadly this is the worst editor what i used. After a simple trim the exporting time was many hours for a 250mb mp4, and the output size after than was 10x larger. I not recommend it

Very sloooow to render

I left CapCut due to its draconian new usage rules and was looking for something that felt familiar. At first, the UX on Filmage felt familiar to CapCut. I was able to create a couple of 5-minute videos without too much trouble, even though there were fewer options (I understood and accepted that). But exporting was extremely slow, and even though I created a video in 9:16 from the beginning, it kept exporting in 16:9 with no option for 9:16. I ended up using another app to play the video and capture my own screen to get the video in the right size. I knew Filmage would have less features than CapCut but I never expected it to be so buggy and frustrating. Moving on to other options.

Export doesn’t work, so after you spend your time on a project, the wait hours for the video to be exported (which never finishes), you are left with nothing.

It freezes all the time, just do not work.

É apenas um editor que só tem o básico. Nada de efeitos, fontes, transições mais elabordas, ou sequer um filtro de chroma key. Além disso, está lotado de glitches e bugs, que impedem até de criar uma nova trilha para edição. Estou usando um Apple M4 com 24GB de ram e sinceramente, não vale a pena o download. It’s just another BASIC video editor. Forget about good filters, effects, texts variations and effects! It doesn’t even have a green screen filter! Plus it’s filled with glitches and Bugs, which makes impossible to create a new track or edit anything. I’m using an Apple M4 with 24GB RAM, and honestly, it doesn’t worth the download.

It’s another video editor. It does have some nice tools like the ios remote camera. The interface is clean, but I wish they had templates, It would be a go to app.
