It’s great! It is tasteful for those moments that really matter for focus on the content of what I’m writing when I’m not using something like Obisdian or Bear. Specific, focused writing.

App hangs opening a simple Markdown file and has to be force quit.

Fantastic distraction free writing app.

I really like it but every file I open with Focused is getting marked as “can’t verify is free of malware that may harm your Mac or compromise your privacy.” Really?! Is that from Setapp or Focused?

I shouldn’t have to hunt for a dark mode. There is virtually no place to grab the window to move it.

Nice App, works nicely, only doesn’t seem to be compatible with FireFox? Also would be great to give topics to the Focus for recording writing time for instance and get a better insight.

Very simple and clean- in a great way

Start Visual Studio Code or PyCharm in Fullscreen / Zen mode, fire up Youtube search for "Zen sounds" and you have for free what this piece of crap offers as a paid app. Not even the "Link" or "Picture reference" Tool help much; all they do is paste the characters "[]()" and "![]()" for you! Not even "[title](url)"; or similar, no! Only "[]()". What a joke ...

Auto corrects standard double quote to curly quotes from hell that break everything code-related. There is NO WAY TO FIX IT. The app is unusable.

Byword is a pretty similar app and much nicer IMO

It is really much easier to focus on writing. But I use my own music and not the zen sounds that the app provides.

I used it only once, but it had a powerful impact: it unblocked a piece of writing I was struggling with for several days. Amazing! I will continue exploring its potential, but for sure a tool to use and reuse!

Seemingly abadoned app, with so many unfixed bugs. I love the ideas: Zen mode, Typewriter mode, beautiful minimalism. But it doesn’t work! Only basic markdown syntax is implemented, and implented wrongly. For example, starting an ordered list by typing “1.”, entring newline will result in another “1.” instead of “2.”, and it keeps adding ones. Adding a second line break will keep adding ones instead of starting a paragraph. In Zen mode, soundtracks are unbearably loud and there’s no volume control whatsoever. I have to lower the system’s volume instead And most importantly, there’s no way to contact the author! Their support item links to their old website, which redirects to the new one, which has no email or contact form, only a support forum with the last post in 2016, and registration requires manual approval that never happens! It’s a joke. I really hate to see such a poor quality product like that

Played with it a bit. Very nice! Hope to try it out soon. Wish it shared with Craft.
