Too complicated for what it should do. Installing the helper is a hassle, and the app requires disabling parts of macOS security and enabling extra system extensions before it can work. It also doesn’t function properly without installing additional components. For a tool that’s supposed to make NTFS access simple, the setup is far too intrusive and inconvenient. I expected something straightforward, but the installation process felt excessive and not very user-friendly. The product’s own documentation notes that system extensions may need to be enabled, especially on Apple silicon Macs, and user reviews also mention the extension setup as unclear.

An absolute must-have utility when you own a MAC-PC hybrid environment, or with the need to interact with others who don’t own Macs.

the process to enable extensions are nto clear

great for getting into an old Windows hard drive. You don’t need to do the involved set-up with secruity prvilages just to access the odd disk.

For the past few days, it's been freezing the entire Mac. As soon as the SSD drive is connected, but after a few minutes. I've reinstalled it twice but nothing... The ssd works fine on Windows (scan ok)

It worked in the past, but since macOS 15, it has stopped functioning properly. When I try to mount an NTFS drive, the file locks disappear at first, but as soon as I open a folder or try to access the drive, everything freezes. iBoysoft stops responding and breaks Finder too, which also becomes unresponsive. Sometimes I even have to restart my Mac to get Finder working again. I've tried reinstalling the Kernel Extensions with no luck. I'm writing to check if anything has been fixed after macOS 26, but nothing has changed. Still doesn't work. This was one of the main reasons I got a Setapp subscription to work comfortably with any drives.

Ainda não consegui fazer funcionar, parece complicada a maneira para ativar. Vou continuar tentando mas por enquanto é ruim porque simplesmente não funcionou.
