My favourite app right now. Feels familiar if you’re comfortable with native MacOS apps. For a long time, I’ve tried to force outliner tools (e.g., Logseq, Bike, Noteplan) to manage projects and tasks. But it’s always felt clunky and messy bringing tasks into a notation tool. SheetPlanner solves this for me. Tasks take the forefront, and notes and media can be linked *or* embedded. Collapsing rows reduces my overwhelm. But additional improvements could help. 1. Style: Modify a cell’s fill color to distinguish info 2. Setting: Increase/decrease spacing between rows, for more comfortable viewing 3. Setting: On open, rows default collapsed or expanded The product feels feature rich, but without any fluff. That said, I’d love to see a folder views reveal all the items from their contained sheets. I did discover one bug, where dragging items around removes their ‘complete’ status. However, closing and reopening the sheet will return statuses back to normal. I love this tool!

Bisher gut. Ich muss allerdings noch etwas Erfahrung mit dem Tool sammeln. Mein Eindruch bisher: Simple, strukturiert und enthält alle Tools eines guten Projektmanagements.

Such a good concept, and at a glance it’s everything I want, but it’s just so unwieldy. There’s not enough keyboard shortcuts or customization preferences, column types don’t always work the way you expect, and some things either don’t seem to work or I otherwise can’t figure out how to get them to work.

This app has brilliant design ( 'Focus,' Kanban, and Calendar views).However, basic functionality lacks refinement. Before adding features, prioritise enhancing intuitiveness. Basic actions like updating a textbox and pressing enter are flawed (using main Enter creates a new row, while secondary Enter on a large keyboard doesn’t. I don’t want a new row when I update a textbox). Copy-paste a row: CMD+C, CMD+V won't work. Developers should emulate "Numbers" for row management. Main issues: 1) I wanted to input that a task will take 4 hours. How? Right now, I have to use a calendar and specify when I'll finish a task. Almost always we just want to estimate the hours/days a task will require. 2) How to configure a custom weekly schedule. I work from 5:30 am on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, with a childcare break in the middle of the day. And Thursdays, Fridays are different. Plus I work on some Saturdays. I give Thumb up only to encorage the dev., but I cannot use the app as it is.

Pasting rows from excel does not work as expected, overwrites data, and does not allow undo

A lot of potential, but very buggy. For some reason I cannot enter dates for specific tasks (the calendar icon doesn’t appear). Also the app has crashed already a couple of times. Would love to see this working properly. In case there isn’t, I recommend adding some automated testing to cover the bugs and ensure new changes don’t break the app :)

I haven’t had much time to work in it but I still find it promising.

Good idea with pretty bad implementation and experience. I tried it for a couple of days, finding that due to some critical flaws can’t use it further: - they keyboard navigation and editing is super unintuitive. While the Outline view resembles any sheet app, none of the keys you expect to work on sheet will not work, or will do something else (Tab, Enter, Cmd+Enter, etc.). - the Undo virtually doesn’t work: — if you accidentely ticked some item as done, and you have parameter ‘Hide done’ ON — it’s gone, and undo can’t help you, you need to set ‘Hide done’ parameter to OFF, then find your item, and untick it. — If you accidentely edited an item text (and with unintuitive keyboard shortcuts it’s very easy) — you can’t undo it, which is ridiculous. - The way how you can group items into meaningful categories (like tracks within a project, or milestones, sprints), or how nested items relate, is also very limiting and unintuitive. I tried it hard to switch to this app, but… no.

This was just what I was looking for. I had set due dates for multiple projects and needed a way to plan out the individual tasks on a timeline to be sure they got done. Maybe not the traditional project management software approach - but the flexibility to plan this way is what worked for me. Thanks!

Initially I gave a negative rating for this app because it kept crashing and I deleted it. I subsequently found that a VPN was causing problems with other apps. I stopped using the VPN, re-tested SheetPlanner and it worked reliably. I do not yet have much experience with the app, but creating a Gantt chart is simple and intuitive. There are several templates that look useful, but which I have not yet tested.

Very buggy. The keyboard shortcuts need to be implemented. The sheet does not update with changes. Encompassing high level tasks do not update properly as you edit indented tasks. This is high potential to be a super fast way of doing semi-complex project plans, but it is so buggy that I just don’t trust it and data entry is very cumbersone.

Very well documented and self explainatory app. The concept is matching exactly what im looking for: Database + Task + Calendar Planer

Weak - should be able to change duration and set date

not flexible - can barely change the names of the columns!
