Extremely disappointing experience with VidCap. The app crashes every single time I attempt to activate it on my iPad or iPhone through Setapp. As a result, it is completely unusable on both devices. I reported this issue to Setapp support and was informed that the case had been escalated to the app developer. Unfortunately, a full week has passed, and the problem remains unresolved. No fix, no workaround, and no way to use the app. I pay for Setapp to have access to reliable, working software. Instead, I have spent a week trying to activate an app that simply crashes. This is unacceptable. Until the activation issue is resolved, I cannot recommend VidCap.

Perfect software. I use it every day. The captions and transcription is very good. Recommend.

Nope, this aint it. It works only some of the time. Other times it throws up nonsense errors. When it does work, there are very minimal customizations. Cannot change colors (it is ALWAYS yellow…) but the main thing is that it is just not reliable, so you cannot depend on this for your workflow, rendering it essentially useless.

Makes caption/srt generation and correction super easy and painless! This app does one major job and it does it REALLY well (exactly what I need it to do). I only wish that you can click the cursor into places as well instead of having to scroll, because sometimes it just swipes back to the main project dashboard

very good i came from capcut due to their policies i like it i hope they’re going to add emoji’s!

Vidcap has been great, I use it to create captions for all my training videos. I then export the transcript and have ChatGPT create a blog post to go with the video. It does a great job.

Export is the save buttion. : App is good and works well for tiktok shorts and what ever else you need poppy subtitles.

Only transcribes half of the video. Very buggy interface.

Amazing App!!! Use it regularly!

Great app! I hope in the future there will be a feature for bilingual subtitles - one main caption and one smaller caption. That would be amazing.

This app worked perfectly. Highly recommend!

I like the app so far.

Really efficient

Love it , does need some improvements , for example it has moments when it doesn’t add subtitle and i can’t find a way to add manually, other than that , amazing

Very nice app!

Simple and straightforward interface, functions as described, a great piece of software.

Amazing, so easy to use, and even translates the subtitles to another language.
