Very nice app. But it seems translation / transcription quality is not very good, if there are options to use adanced models that would be great. Adding text to speech would also be very helpful.

In particular, the quality differs a lot based on your Mac model (Intel vs. Apple Silicon), macOS version, and the languages you're trying to transcribe and translate. So I'd love to hear more details from you!

Promising but still buggy/erratic in my experience. Watching anime (orig jp voice) in my browser (with it set as the audio source rather than the default system mic)and more often than not, it stops showing transcript/translation even if there are still plenty of dialogue between characters. Also tried comparing app’s translation to the subtitles provided in the video and only comes close maybe 20% of the time…..if it works. I understand this app is pretty new so I look forward to it improving over time. Will update rating accordingly.

I'm particularly curious to hear whether you're on an Intel or Apple Silicon Mac, and whether you're on macOS Sequoia (15) or Tahoe (26), since performance for Japanese is a lot better on Tahoe with an Apple Silicon Mac.
