Audiobook Author is an audiobook mastering tool for authors and narrators who record themselves. It measures every chapter against the requirements of the shop you deliver to, like ACX for Audible, and shows exactly which rule fails and by how much. Then it fixes what can be fixed, converts to the delivery format and builds a chaptered M4B with cover and metadata.
Check chapters against ACX requirements
Fix levels, peaks and room tone
Convert chapters to the shop's MP3 format
Build a chaptered M4B audiobook
Audiobook Author features
Shop check per chapter
Level (RMS or LUFS), peaks, noise floor, room tone, sample rate, channels and file length, with a status light per chapter.
Auto-fix
Sets the level, keeps peaks under the ceiling with a look-ahead limiter and pads room tone from your own recording.
Honest about limits
What can't really be fixed, like a noisy room, is named, not hidden. Your originals are never changed.
Ready to deliver
MP3 at the shop's settings, a chaptered M4B with cover and metadata, and retail samples.
Cover check
Size, square format, file type and color space, before you upload.
Private
Everything happens on your Mac: no account, no upload, no tracking.
