So happy with this app addition. I can use this now instead of Krisp.

This is an ideal app. I have an SMB7 mic setup for real recording stuff, but I’ve hated having an entire audio setup cluttering my workspace for the day-to-day zoom-meetings (which is a major part of my work). This app makes the iMac microphone functional, especially in my reverby room. I’ve been getting LOTS of compliments from my colleagues about the sound. One caveat: the AI doesn’t seem to like additional white noise; I have a noisy fan in my office that I sometimes run and my colleagues tell me that sound is not as good when I am running my fan. I think that kind of limitation is to be expected.

EDIT: Uladzimir is incredibly responsive, he baked a proper uninstaller in no time. Nice app, but it isn’t significantly better than the built‑in voice isolation. The audio sometimes flattens my voice and makes it sound higher‑pitched, muffled, or even nasal. I wish the audio quality could be closer to professional standards.

One of the better onboarding experiences of any app. The one negative is that the driver installer's dialog box opened up behind the onboarding dialog box. The sound reactions are an interesting idea, but - the applause reaction is WAY TOO LONG—around 6 seconds!—making it too much of an interruption to the flow of a meeting or video - the trombone reaction is also too long - I'd never want to use the "break wind" sound effect during a business meeting, so I'd like a way to configure what sounds appear in the menu - there should also be a way to add your own sound effects, and not be limited to the three included sounds I'll try to update this when I have experience with the audio quality improvement.

Finally! I've been waiting for an app like this from Setapp for years!

Unfortunately, I haven't noticed any improvement in audio quality. But my main problem is that I can no longer uninstall the app properly. Even after uninstalling, JoyCast remains in the audio input devices—even after restarting. What can I do?

Fantastic application - team collegues can understand me clearly and now I do not need the ridiculous microphone beam anymore.

I honestly don’t like the way it makes the audio sound through my built in macbook air mic 🤷🏼‍♂️, but it’s great on my Rode Broadcaster mic and Rodecaster Pro setup.

Would love if quality can be like Adobe Podcast v2 someday, rest super good. Just need Adobe Podcast Tuning vibes here

Hi, I just installed the latest version on Thaoe. The app is installed and I was able to test it on Teams, but I can't open its interface, even though it's showing as running in the activity monitor. Am I missing something? Also, I have another question—how do setapp credits work for this app?

Joycast is a great app and I really enjoy using it for my broadcasts. It’s clean, stable, and easy to set up, which makes the streaming experience smooth and enjoyable. However, I would love to see the developers add a few features that would make the app even better especially for audio-focused streamers like me. It would be amazing to have the ability to use multiple audio inputs at the same time, or even a dedicated “Audio-only” section for those of us who stream voice and music without video. Right now, I have two microphones connected through different audio apps, but Joycast only allows one input at a time. Having more input flexibility would make the app much more powerful and versatile. Overall, I really like the app, and I hope future updates bring these improvements. Joycast has a lot of potential, and I’m excited to see how it grows!

It works! I have an echo in my room and this app totally reduces it. I am very glad to see such results. Thank you so much. However, the privacy policy is not clear to me. I hope nothing from my microphone leaks to the network

I suspect the ratings are somewhat manipulated. JoyCast severely disrupted my ability to use recording features in Cursor, VSCode, Aqua, and many other applications. After uninstalling it and restarting, none of these apps could record. If you find yourself in a similar situation, here is a script to clean up after this issue. Personally, I am not angry with JoyCast, but SetApp should conduct at least a minimal amount of testing before releasing an app. A clean uninstall should be the bare minimum.

Are you telling me I’m no logner tied to my desktop setup if I don’t want to sound like I’m raking up rubble with a bulldozer in an active warzone? Color me impressed.

This is brilliant! I can finally speak on calls through my MacBook’s mic without wasting money or desk space on those fluffy podcaster mics or those airport-dispatcher antenna headsets. God bless whoever built this miracle!
