The app is rather clunky. Many of the offerings/options found throughout the settings and filters are indecipherable and not well explained (or explained at all). Grammar and spelling issues are common. The premium version for iOS refuses to activate for SetApp subscribers, regardless of following the prescribed protocol.

This app breaks random websites without any notice. If something doesn’t load properly or you are unable to login, turning this off makes the site work again. Somehow the app got corrupted and I couldn’t access the internet anymore until I uninstalled the app completely. The setapp un-installation leaves the network extensions and VPN filters in place so you have to delete them manually. Really a clunky app. Multiple spelling errors and grammar errors in the setup and help information in English, makes me wonder if the app can be trusted.

Definitely very useful, but sometimes it's necessary to disable it for a specific page that I know I can trust but which is on a blacklisted site. (Redirection sites, for example.) When I try to reenable AdLock later from the menubar, it fails about 80% of the time, and I must open the main app and navigate to the Ad blocking tab and enable. PLEASE FIX THE MENUBAR APP! Also, it could be useful to allow some sites (like those used for redirection) to have their trust level based on the site on which the link is found, to avoid blocking pages unnecessarily. --- UPDATE: This is quite ridiculous. "The web page https://amzn.to/3LzzIVE has been reported to contain malware and has been blocked based on your security preferences." I'm quite sure amzn.to ONLY redirects to amazon sites. How is it a malware risk? WHY DO YOU NOT ALLOW US TO OVERRIDE THIS BY CLICKING A LINK ON THE WARNING PAGE!? If you can't fix these problems I will definitely downgrade my review.
