Panel Widgets

Panel's 56 widgets aren't just readouts — they're tiny devices. Each one has a machined casing, a dark inset display, and firmware-style type. Four featured decks go further with physical keys: switch Weather Deck screens, control Apple Music with Now Playing and Remote, flip through notes, or cycle RSS headlines. The keys respond the moment you press them.

Two casings — graphite or cream — switchable per widget, all at once, or automatically based on Light/Dark Mode. Pick from four accent colors for action keys and hero numbers. Choose from ten numeral styles, from default firmware mono to Dot Matrix, Orbit, and Typewriter faces. It's your desktop; Panel just gives you the hardware specs.

Panel ships with 48 Mac-tribute wallpapers across 12 designs — Dither, 1984, Disk Slot, Apple II, Tower, and more — each available in Beige and Platinum colorways, optimized for 5K and MacBook screens. Apply any of them in one click. Import your own images and they join the collection permanently.

The clock ring fills minute by minute. The sun moves across the sky in real time. System stats — CPU, memory, GPU, storage — update as often as every 30 seconds. Follow up to five RSS feeds and three stocks. Time and temperature units follow your system settings, or you can set them per widget.

Panel isn't decorative. Tap a reminder to check it off, log a glass of water, or start a focus timer — right from the widget. Click the weather, calendar, or reminders widgets and they open the relevant Apple app. It's a dashboard that actually does stuff.

Close Panel's window and it steps out of the Dock entirely — every widget and key keeps working. No accounts, no syncing, no data leaving your Mac. Just your desktop, looking exactly the way you want it.
