Love it one of my favourite apps

keeps me on track

Simple to use. Other apps try to do too much for me. This is a clean interface and focuses me on what I’m doing NOW. Very helpful.

Strange that the small icon looks differnet from the Logo - which gave me a hard time to find it, at all.

I have been using this App for over a year, however, the latest version has a bug(a pop up window after Mac restart), very annoying. I just disabled its auto-login and trying other Apps, if works well, I will uninstall this App.

With Version 2.5, this app has suddenly become the best focus tool on the market. I would almost call it revolutionary. Put it in whitelist mode, and all apps other than the ones you choose will be blocked (hidden). There are a couple of other apps on the market that do this, but they have the annoying limitation that it’s cumbersome or impossible to adjust blocking settings during a block. Or they have other issues. Be Focused allows real-time settings adjustment, which for my workflow makes it perfect. This is the first tool I’ve found that fits my workflow and focus style. Already getting more done. Many thanks! (It appears that site blocking only works on Safari, so I’ve just added Safari as the only whitelisted browser apps, and then then the site whitelist works as it should.)

I like it - simple to use

Helpful. Very helpful, but quite basic. Enough features to truly be helpful. Easy to use. I am finding that Sessions, with a slightly steeper and longer learning curve, captures and records more information while still being easy to use. Currently, I am trying to capture and record more information. But if I decide to go with a simple, nicely-featured pomodora, I’ll go with Be Focused. P.S. - I have been using Be Focused for several years (3 or 4, or so???) and I have been using Session for several months (3 or 4).

Good app!

The UI is a little hard to get the hang of, but it works well as a metronome and timer. For instance, you can set it to make a very soft tick every 3 seconds for 20 minutes, a method than can help maintain focus.

Good app..Works very well and very useful

Works great. I just wish it would be able to pause automatically should I put my Mac to sleep. Sometimes I need to step away from my Focus time for an emergency and I have to consciously turn off the Focus app before putting my Mac to sleep.
