Everything seemed great — until it unzipped only 10 out of 11 documents. Every other app, including the macOS built-in Archive Utility, extracted all 11 files without issue. I don’t know why this happens, but the inconsistency seriously undermines my confidence in BetterZip.

Uso BetterZip todos los días en mi MacBook Pro con chip M3 Pro y es simplemente esencial. Me permite inspeccionar, editar y extraer archivos comprimidos sin descomprimirlos por completo, lo cual agiliza mi flujo de trabajo técnico. Su velocidad, integración con macOS y compatibilidad con scripts Bash lo hacen ideal para automatizar respaldos, cuarentenas y reportes auditables. Es confiable, potente y muy intuitivo. Si trabajas con archivos comprimidos a nivel profesional, lo recomiendo totalmente.

Much richer feature set than Setapp alternative Archiver. Archiver is pretty, but it’s slower, and for me at least (Sequoia 15.3), it can’t quick look. BetterZip displays an archive contents preview in Finder (or its alternatives), which is key.

You can set an option in the settings to extract archives immediately when opening them from Finder. The default lets you preview the contents first and extract files individually. That adds a click or two.

Great zip utility; i believe it compares with winzip over on windows. if ytou have setapp. i wouldnt even CONSIDER using something else. If you are reading this review that means you are in need of an archiver utility or even if youre not, download this one to replace your current option. you will be happy you did
