Perfect! How did I miss this until now! I’ve been using both in your face (for full screen notifictions) and meeter (now gone from setapp, but was more reliable for the many different meetings apps I have to fight with). Together they worked well most of the time, but with some odd glitches, including licensing issues for meeter (the last of which I thought had killed it forever, but then it came back to life.). Dato combines all the useful bits from both (and i’ve switched to using it in place of calendar in istats too), with a load of bonus features too, and every feature nicely configurable in sensible ways. Full marks from me, wish I had found it sooner. Even better if: there was direct outlook/exchange integration rather than relying on mac calendar which needs to be removed and readded when my password changes.

Great app, very convenient and customizable. Full-screen reminders are awesome! This replaces multiple apps for me. There is a bug in this version that it sometimes runs up CPU randomly, but the developer responds promptly and said it should be fixed in the next version which I hope will make it to Setapp soon!

Probably the best app available on Setapp.

Love the supreme utility of this. It's clean, straightforward, but has deep customization of what it shows & does for you. I don't need a heavy calendar app for anything anymore and let Dato do my reminders, scheduling, quick check of agenda.

Fantastic app! Very usefull. Definitely a daily driver. Had some small issues with it not launching at startup. But only once in a while, so no biggie.

Needed to replace Clocker App as the development seems to have ceased on it, and Claude recommended Dato. Was delighted to see it in Setapp! I really just want the timezones and menu bar time that Clocker gave me,and so far it’s been good. Have managed to replicate most of the look and feel I wan in Dato, and have sent some questions and suggestions to the dev. Big one for me now is being able to add the timezone under the time in the menu bar, so fingers crossed they are able to do that. Gotta love Setapp! :)

Dato is a full-screen meeting reminder app for macOS that’s incredibly useful for keeping track of important meetings. Its biggest strengths are its simplicity and elegant design. You can pin your upcoming meetings directly in the menu bar as reminders, and the drop-down view is cleaner than BusyCal’s and clearer than In Your Face’s. The only minor drawback is that Dato separates the main app icon and the menu bar reminder into two independent items, which can feel a bit redundant at first. Fortunately, you can hide the main app icon and keep only the menu bar reminder visible. You can even make both icons identical, achieving the same clean appearance as In Your Face. Overall, Dato can easily serve as a full replacement—or even an upgrade—for In Your Face. It offers more comprehensive features at a much lower price.

Slight performance issues opening the app, but great feature set

Excellent, quick view calandar and shows events for the day. Love it.

It’s OK at what it does. For some reason I find the design not to be as tight as it could be but I could certainly live with that. My gripe with it is that it’s not very stable - it freezes occasionally. This is especially frustrating when you really need to see the current calendar item, click the menu and get a spinner. It froze today and I had to find and terminate the process to get it back again, which has made me move to another solution for the time being.

Useful, and great for folks like me who forget about upcoming meetings after less than 5 minutes since my first reminder appeared.

I can’t anymore use my mac without this app.
