We’d love to understand more about the issue you’re experiencing — please reach out to us at [email protected] so we can help. Our new document system was designed to fully eliminate the syncing issues some users encountered before. Just to clarify — MindNode doesn’t use a custom cloud. Your data is stored securely and end-to-end encrypted using Apple’s CloudKit, not on our own servers. — Markus

Thank you for your nice review. Export to Things 3 is coming with the next feature update. However it's only an export and task status is not synced.

Hello Zeppo. MindNode Next stores the documents in a database and not a file on disk. If you rely on files, we recommend you stick with our MindNode Classic app. We would also love to learn ([email protected]) why files are crucial to your workflow so we can adapt our strategy in the future. For example based on user feedback we recently added Alias that can be added to Finder/Files to directly link to MindNode documents. – Markus

Hello Stefan, We released MindNode Next as a separate app because we needed to change the way documents are stored. This was essential to support new capabilities like conflict-free syncing and other modern features. We didn’t want to disrupt anyone’s existing workflow, which is why we chose not to replace MindNode Classic automatically. Since launching MindNode Next a year ago, we’ve continued to maintain and update Classic (including a recent update for macOS 26) and expect it to work well for many years to come. As for new features, MindNode Next now supports live collaboration, integrates with Apple Intelligence, offers improved syncing with Reminders, a new flexible layout, and greatly enhanced automation via the Shortcuts app… with many more features on the way. — Markus

Would you like to share why you prefer managing your documents outside of MindNode? We believe the new system offers many advantages, but we also plan to expand it to better support different workflows. In the meantime, we recommend continuing to use MindNode Classic — we’ve recently updated it to support Liquid Glass, and it will remain a great option for users who prefer direct file management. — Markus

Could you please send us an email at [email protected], so we can take a closer look at what’s happening? Regarding your other comments: MindNode Next includes many improvements, such as conflict-free syncing, live collaboration, AI features, and new export options. We’d love to know what features you’re missing or what you’d like to see improved. Also, since both MindNode Classic and MindNode Next are part of Setapp, you can use both without any additional cost. - Markus
