On the split and cut icons: you're right that they don't read as distinct, and you're not the first person to say so. Icon clarity is already part of the interface work I'm doing for the next release, and this is a cheap fix that I'd rather get right than leave ambiguous. Thank you for naming the specific pair. On image models: more providers are something I want to support. I can't promise which ones or when yet, so I won't pretend otherwise, but it's on the list rather than in the "nice idea" pile. The captions problem was real: on Setapp, transcription was being given your original footage instead of your edited version, so subtitles drifted out of sync by up to eighteen seconds and deleted speech came back on screen. Non-English audio was worse still. That's fixed in 2.4.2. However I would highly recommend using Scribe for best transcription. The AI features hitting the monthly allowance and dead-ending is the next thing I'm fixing. I won't argue the over-promises point for the version you used.
