Hi, the app only uses CPU & GPU when wallpapers are being set, downloaded, or browsed. When the app is running with just the wallpaper set, it consumes almost no CPU & GPU. It sets the system wallpaper, so it is doing no work to keep it displayed. If you have data indicating otherwise, please contact us at [email protected] and we're happy to investigate. If you want to use the wallpapers without the app even running (so no memory consumption) you can enable Apple Dynamic Desktop mode in the apps preferences and quit the app. In this mode macOS will continue to update the wallpapers without the app running.

Great follower of time and the love of the desktop behaving like the outdoors. These dynamic wallpapers are locations that coinside with daylight and night where you are at are fantastic. This app offers a significantly large selection of these to keep you happy. High quality images with the smallest amount of computer resources necessary. Cheers!

Using on new MacBook Pro M5. Just started using it. Using one of the beach themes and it’s great looking and functioning as advertised. To get it to change time of day, app must be running. This app and the Setapp app are running just fine with no problems either in functionality or resource issues. But, this is a new computer, YMMV. I have an old MBook Pro still running Maverick and I’m really tempted to give it a try just for an experiment.

So far I like it! It’s like working in a different place every day. A few bits of feedback though: I would love a way to filter out AI/“synthesis” wallpapers, since I only want real/traditional photography personally (I’m a hobbyist photographer). Would also be nice to be able to transfer my favorites between my work and personal macs. And I have it set to shuffle after 24 hours, but honestly don’t know when it plans to change the wallpaper. Midnight? 5am? A day after I clicked “next wallpaper”? Would be nice to know that at least, and preferably set it.

Very nice in many ways, but with one ENORMOUS Achilles tendon: IT DOES NOT UPDATE ALL DESKTOPS WITH DIFFERENT IMAGES. WHY NOT? One of the main values of a background image is keeping each desktop distinctive!

Hi, to set different wallpapers in different spaces, please read the documentation here: https://www.jetsoncreative.com/24hourspaces --Unfortunately Apple does not offer APIs that allow the app to identify different spaces uniquely, so the only way this can work is with a special mode which you need to enable.

Most of the wallpars that indicated they were 24 hr didn’t work on my Mac Mini running Apple Silicon. I even went into settings to change it so that the wallpapers were dynamic without the app running and still nothing.
