Manage your money
Do you spend more on groceries or eating out? If you can’t tell off the top of your head, you might need a better money manager.
See where the money goes
GreenBooks makes it easy — check the pie chart to see a breakdown of your expenses.
You can customize categories for your income and expenses under Settings > Categories. Assign appropriate categories to each transaction, and GreenBooks shows you where the money goes.
Schedule your transactions
Bills, subscriptions, mortgage payments — no need to log everything manually each month. Schedule recurring payments to save time and know exactly what to expect and when.
Jump to the Scheduled section to plan your payments. You can also schedule a one-time transaction. It's handy for something you don't want to forget about, like the money you owe to your friend.
Create a budget
If you haven't done budgeting before, GreenBooks is a great place to start. The app can automatically generate an annual or monthly budget based on your spending history. You can adjust estimates for each category to suit your plans.
To set up a budget, click the plus button at the button left of the screen and choose New Budget. Specify and budget name and period and prepare to see the full picture of your finances.
Don't do it all manually
GreenBooks makes it pretty fast and straightforward to log expenses. But folks in the USA and Canada have an additional option. Use the Direct Connect feature to connect your bank account so all your transactions sync automatically.
Click the plus at the bottom left of the screen and choose Setup Direct Connect. Pick your country and follow the onscreen instructions to connect your bank account.
