How to bring deleted photos back
Whether you’ve backed up your precious pics or not, there’s a way to restore them.
Photo rescue kit
Recover within 30 days after deleting
Photos stay in the Recently Deleted folder on icloud.com for 30 days. So if you’ve just recently lost your shots, go to icloud.com and access the Photos folder > Recently Deleted > select the photos you want to restore > Restore.
Recover anytime
No matter when you’ve deleted the photos — 3 days or 3 months ago — you have nothing to worry about if you have Disk Drill on your Mac:
Connect your iPhone to Mac
Open Disk Drill on Mac
Go to iPhones & iPads and choose your iPhone
Click Search for lost data
Select the photos you want to restore and click Recover.
Recover from backup
If you take the safety of your photos seriously, you probably do backups. There’s an option to restore photos from iPhone backups (in your iPhone Settings, go to iCloud and enable iCloud backup to automatically back up iPhone content). But note that these backups clutter up iCloud storage and get overwritten with every new backup process, so it’s better to use AnyTrans.
Make it a habit to run iPhone backups with AnyTrans for iOS on Mac. Then, whenever you need to restore photos, simply connect your iPhone to Mac and find all the backups organized by date in the app’s Backup Manager.
