How to control remote devices
Everyone’s gone remote. Even Macs. Office Macs, mostly. Here’s a complete set of tools to access, share, and even initiate file downloads on your remote devices.

Teleport to a remote computer
Went on a business trip and forgot to move some files from home computer to laptop? Or maybe your remote office Mac has some files you really need to take your hands on? Screens can help. Access your remote computer from anywhere in the world, drag and drop files, and keep your remote screen obscured while you do that using the Curtain Mode.
Note: make sure you enable Remote Login and Remote Management for your select devices (System Preferences > Sharing) before using Screens.
Share files through cloud storage
If you can’t share files Mac-to-Mac because some permissions are off, or maybe you need to share to more devices, try cloud sharing. Install Dropshare and share a file to any cloud storage, and then instantly share access to that file with a link. Nice perk: if you use Dropshare through Setapp, you get a complimentary 10 GB of storage.
Start downloads on a remote Mac
Ever found a thing you want to download on your Mac while browsing on iPhone or iPad? You could think of some cumbersome workaround — perhaps saving the link to a shared folder in Notes or using AirDrop — but let’s be honest, you’ll most definitely forget to get back to that thing when you’re on your Mac.
Transloader can start downloads on your Mac remotely, right from your iPhone or iPad. With Transloader installed on both devices, open the Share menu on your mobile device and choose Share to > Transloader. Your download will arrive on Mac instantly!
Use your iPhone as a remote control for Mac
Every time. When I step away from my Mac to grab some coffee, I forget to put it to sleep. Even in public places! Luckily, there’s Remote Mouse that lets me do it from my iPhone.
Remote Mouse is basically like a remote control — you can mirror the Mac keyboard and trackpad on iPhone’s screen and use it to complete any action on Mac. Shut it down, turn the volume up — that would be when you’re watching a movie and your Mac is out of your reach, on the opposite side of the bed — there are so many use cases for this.
