There are a number of useful feature in this app, but using its to ‘clean’ as the app name suggests, has proven for me far too destructive. Essential system files are deleted, forcing a restart just to enable apps to work again. Maybe if you really know what you’re doing the app can be useful, but it puts way too much power in my hands. Proceed with caution! (and most Mac experts say cleaning tools like this are nonessential; I don’t know for sure but check online for reviews before using).

Keep crashing every time.

This app continues to get worse and worse - just like MacPaw’s customer service. Features that are supposed to work simply don’t… and it’s an utter waste of your time bringing it to their support team. More than once I’ve reported issues, been asked to run their “support tool” and found a ZIP file including MY PERSONAL PHOTOS AND DOCUMENTS sitting on my desktop that they wanted me to upload. Sadly this is another piece of “fluff” from MacPaw to try to drive revenue.

I have used Clean My Mac since day one. Left for cc cleaner app. but came back 5 days later. Interface is the best, none opr issues at all, anytime.

Lots of great features. I didn’t realize how much I needed this app until I tried it.

Love it! I just don’t like Moonlock getting pushed down my throat. It is bloated and too activity-prone for Mac. Take that from a 31-year cybersecurity veteran.

It’s lost some functionality in recent years, but the features that remain are still useful.

I started using Clean My Mac not long after the App became available, and have stuck with them ever since. My son and grandson asked why I use the App, when I can clean the Mac manually. I explained that doing it manually takes much longer, plus I am much older that them and the Clean My Mac App does the work 100 times faster, PLUS it is always evolving with new ways to more deeply clean the mac.

nice easy mainstream tool to do what it does, no bs as far as i can tell. However, it does use up a decent amount of CPU and memory itself while running or even in the background sometimes.

I love CleanMyMac and love even more now that I can use SetApp to use it accross my three macs and my phones!

CleanMyMac has been one of my favororigte apps to use on my Macs. There might be a version for Windows, but I don’t care what the evil empire is doing. I like CleanMyMac and recommend the app.

This app is so impressive that it influenced my decision to join Setapp. Its operation is incredibly smooth and efficient, which truly amazes me.

I like the app and use it on all my Macbooks and Mac Minis. But on my main computer, a Mac Mini M4 Pro, I have had to turn off real-time malware monitor as the CPU usage simply was too high, which resultet in high temperatures. After disabled the malware monitor my CPU temperature is about 20 degrees lower. This should be looked into. Besides that, I recommend the app for Mac users.
