From the getgo, the app quit unexpectedly in the middle of a clone session. I will try to find an alternative.

Hi, thank you for reaching out. We're sorry to hear the app crashed during your cloning session — that's definitely not the experience we want you to have. Unexpected quits during cloning can happen for a few different reasons, such as file system issues on the source or destination drive, permission conflicts, or a compatibility hiccup with your current macOS version. Before switching to another tool, we'd love to help you get to the bottom of it. Could you please send us a crash report? After an unexpected quit, macOS usually offers to reopen the app and shows a crash dialog — if you still have that report, you can copy and paste it to [email protected]. It also helps to know which version of macOS you're running and what kind of drive you were cloning to (external HDD, SSD, etc.). In the meantime,it might be worth opening Disk Utility and running First Aid on both your source and destination volumes before trying again, as file system errors can sometimes interrupt the process

Tried this app years ago but somehow it was impossible to grant it «full disk access». Tried it today and its still impossible to grant full disk access.

Hello. Please check if Get Backup is listed in the Full Disk Access section of the Privacy & Security settings. Then, select the 'Don’t show again' option in the Get Backup dialog. Should you have any questions, please contact us at [email protected].

Several times a year my encrypted backups become corrupt and cannot be mounted. It’s been like this for several years and I simply cannot trust this tool.

Hi, I tried to use the app to automate the backup of some files with compression. However, the app keeps asking me for giving “Full Disk Access” even though is it enabled. Moreover, the app requires to enter the Admin password to read files and create a zip, not acceptable. I gave it a shot but it’s not working for me.

Hello! Please pay attention that there is a 'Don’t show again' option in the Get Backup dialog. The Admin password is required for system files and folders, but it is not mandatory. Should you have any questions, please contact us at [email protected].

Should be renamed to Get Backup Slo It is super slow to backup a user folder to a disk image, even onto fast 10Gbps SSD. The app just takes a long to build file lists and transfer the files. I have used other backup utilities that can transfer the entire user folder contents to the same SSD in minutes. This app takes more time just building the file list to be copied without even copying a single item.

Not really a fan. It claims to do incremental backups but doesn’t. After 5 or so full backups my HD is full. Going back to Time Machine I suppose.

이 앱이 저를 살렸습니다. 제 모든 프로그램 개발 파일이 사라졌지만 이 앱이 있어서 백업된 파일을 복구했습니다. 덕분에 3년간의 중요한 파일을 살릴수 있었습니다 This app saved my life. All my program development files were lost, but I had this app to restore my backed up files. Thanks to you, I was able to save 3 years of important files.

Works for simple cases, but fragile with respect to things like filenames which are valid on MaacOS but invalid on SMB shares. Disappointing.

This is the first time I've used it, so I set it up carefully, tested it manually, waited for the scheduled task to run... and... bam... it crashes. Uninstalled and forgotten. I still use my own scripts to save my mac then…

le clonage ne peut pas se faire en version bootable même en respectant toutes les indications de Get backup Pro. Annulation de l’abonnement Setapp à cause de cela. Dommage mais bon pas de vrai service client.
