Tried using this on an M4 chip Mac after installing Rosetta and it didn’t work. All the compressed PDFs were blank. Worked great on my old Intel Macbook though.

Hi Danielle, thanks for your feedback! Whether you’re using an Apple Silicon Mac or an Intel-based one, the output should be the same, there’s no intended difference in how PDF Squeezer processes PDFs. Blank pages typically indicate a settings or compatibility issue rather than a hardware one. Could you please check if the compression profile was changed? If not, I’d be happy to take a look. I LOVE this app. It is part of my daily workflow. I can remember the days when trying to continuously compress .pdf presentations and really struggling with the balance between image quality and file size. PDF Squeezer TRULY makes it EASY to have a high quality, image-lade file quickly be compresssed into a manageable size for easy sharing with stakeholders. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I have used the app earlier, but I refuse to install Rosetta to run this app. Why have it now yet been updated to Silicon Mac?

It's been years since apple m chip was released, and the rosetta still needs it, is not willing to develop. I know the "output" is the same. But someone wouldn't want rosetta installed on their personal pc. The pdf converter online is too good to put up with?

Hi Eunho, Thanks for your patience. I can assure you that a native Apple Silicon version is on the way, it’s just taken a bit longer than I’d hoped. In the meantime, the app runs perfectly well on Apple Silicon using Rosetta. Apple did a great job there. Cheers Daniel

It would be very helpful if the app could show a preview of the PDF for each of the compression profiles. I’m using the app less frequently because I usually create a couple of copies of the pre-compressed PDF and test the compression profiles on each one to find the minimum view quality/compression.

Awesome. Shrinks PDFs to a perfect size. It surprises me how small it can get the file without losing any visible quality.
