For the past few weeks the transcription has been translating text to spanish. Time out errors are daily forcing me to regenerate. Not sure what’s changed, it’s a great software that when it does work gives great analysis even without having direct integration into your meeting software. But until these issues are resolved I cannot recommend it. Update (January 21 2026): No more mixed translations, but unfortunately issues with the software still exist. A 2 hour meeting recording was reduced to just 3 mins even though on the overview screen it shows it as two hours. Software constantly freezes and crashes. As it is currently I can not recommend this software for critical meetings as it’s a dice roll whether or not it will capture your audio in it’s entirety properly.

The latest version 2.0.1 is crashing and is completely unusable.

I have tried. I really have, but his app is fraught with one bug afer another. For one, it will randomly translate English in Spanish (and occassionaly other languages). It’s accuracy in identifying speakers is almost non-existent. I’ve asked it questions about a meeting,such as “What did Person A say about X?” The response is that they did not say anything iabout X. However, when you look at the transcript, Persona A absolutely does speak about X. It’s a great concept, but I can no longer waste more of my time trying to make it work correctly.

New version is unstable and crashes frequently. Also it consumes a lot of CPU. Please fix it

With the last update started eating 100% of my CPU. Creates lags for my whole system. m2 max 32gb.

I use this app all the time, I put the Meeting Summary it generates into my own meeting notes. Highly recommended — it doesn’t get in the way and does exactly what I need it to do.

Super app, very usefull but lately extremely buggy and slow just to scroll through the report. Hopefully this get fixed as it prevents from using it

After updating to 2.0.0, Spellar AI stopped working entirely. When I start recording, the app freezes and I have to force quit it. Cards without recordings keep piling up in the folder, requiring me to manually delete them repeatedly. Please let me downgrade to 1.x.

I’ve tried almost every AI transcription tool out there, but Spellar AI is the first one that feels like a natural part of my workflow rather than an intrusive guest. The 'bot-free' experience is a game-changer—no awkward 'Spellar has joined the chat' notifications to explain to clients. The transcription accuracy is top-tier, even with technical jargon, but where it really shines is the Action Items. It doesn't just list what was said; it understands the intent. I can export these directly to Notion/Linear with one click, which has easily saved me 3–4 hours of admin work every week. If you want to stay present in your meetings instead of buried in a notebook.

It freezes a lot, but it's a great app otherwise.

Application qui nécessite beaucoup d’améliorations, que ça sois au niveau du transcript comme dans l’UX, l’omniprésence de la bar quand un meeting est en cours de record qui selon moi n’apporte rien et gâche l’expérience lorsqu’on partage notre écran. Le fait que l’enregistrement d’une réunion s’arrête par rapport aux horaires de notre calendrier alors que la réunion est toujours en cours etc… Je ne recommande pas pour l’instant, malgré le potentiel de cette appli.

Gute App freue mich auf updates

Une application tout simplement géniale. Je l’utilise pour mes réunions pro. Étant également étudiant en UX design, j’aurais aimé avoir accès à l’application iOS pour pouvoir dégainer mon téléphone pour mes interviews. Ce serait ma seule demande :)

Muy buena. Me gustaria que pueda identificar a las personas que hablan. Otra cosa que deberian hacer es que no capturen el foco del cursor cuando hacen el “tick” para avisarnos que sigue activa la transcripcion, porque si estamos tomando nota o queremos comentar en el chat eso nos interrumpe el teclado.

The new version has become a major CPU bloat. Hangs on every interaction. Just unusable now.

The app stops responding when I interact with the summary. The summary content is not good, and the UI is complex and difficult to use.

Totally worth the money!
