I’ve had the paid version for a couple of years but decided to download the setapp version instead. I’ve never had an issue with the app from the app store and from setapp.

⭐️🔥 such an awesome, light but efficient , app, useful app that i literally use 24/7. The privacy policy is simple, and no data collection.. the privacy policy alone can be the deciding factor in whether I use an app or skip it. 💯

Hello! I’m happy to help. TextSniper runs silently in the background and is accessible via the menu bar or by pressing Shift+Command+2 (⇧⌘2). Please check if the shortcut works for you. If the menu bar icon is missing after launch: 1. Free up space: Try quitting a few other menu bar apps to see if the TextSniper icon appears. 2. Check macOS Tahoe Settings: This version hides menu bar icons by default. Go to System Settings > Menu Bar, scroll to "Allow in the Menu Bar," and ensure the toggle for TextSniper is ON. Unfortunately the accuracy fails as AI oversteps and attempts to create meaning rather than simply recognize and copy individual words. AI is re-composing / rewiting an entire paragraph, shuffling phrases from place to place - creating an unusable inaccurate result. It would be much easier to simply correct errors with individual words, than it is to put phrases back where they belong.

TextSniper is one of those apps that you don’t think you’ll use then wonder how you got along with out it. Efficient, highly accurate and out of the way TextSniper has come in handy when I need to capture unselectable text or text from an image. The QR reader has been very useful as well.
